I don't have the time to read the Bible anymore or study the church fathers or pray or go to church. My life is consumed by work and I really can't do anything about it. I wake up, go to work for 10 hours, come home for 3 hours, sleep 8 hours, wake up, go to work 10 hours, come home for 3 hours, sleep 8 hours, etc. etc. I only have 1 day off a week and I never know what that day will be because my boss decides and many times it's not even a Sunday. What do I do? I want to connect back with God but I literally have no time in my life to do so.

Make time. You have a phone, you can read the bible during your breaks, while on the toilet, while you aren't actually working. Do you literally work non-stop for 10hours straight, with not even 20minutes break? Come on. I'm at work 10hours a day too, but I find time at work to read, say a few prayers and practice my beliefs.

You connect with God with your mind and your actions, so you can do it anytime, while you drive, while you interact with people etc.

Watch this vid, your mentality is very defeatist, I hear it a lot when people talk about exercising (i don't have time…), nonsense. you need to listen to Arnold.

Not good for both your mental and spiritual health, even physicians gets proper shifts and rests assigned (unless it is a catastrophic emergency). Find another job asap unless the job is of great importance then talk with the office proper.

God does not ask you for the impossible… Or even success. God asks you to do your best according to your capacities.

"Our Father" prayer only takes 30secs to say… You can say it when you wake up, when you'r about to go to sleep… Before you drive your car… or whenever it crosses your mind because it doesn't need to be said aloud (althought it's better)

Also whenever you have a day off, try to go to church… It doesn't even have to be for mass, just go there, get on your knees, and pray.

The most important thing to the rememberance of God, to not let Him out of your mind.

But really, brother, try if you can, to find another job. This is hell, we're not meant to live like this.

it only takes 1 second to say a prayer, surely your mind isn't completely occupied throughout, you can listen to a audiobook of the bible, goto church whenever you have the free time to, perhaps talk to your boss about getting sunday off.

I am not a theology expert but i'm sure God will scale the grace appropriately and you can offer your suffering up.

Be aware that a job is essentially trading your life's time for money.

If its not something aligned with your life purpose, at least it shouldn't be interfering with personal growth.

Only my take on this, take it or leave it, also beware that I'm currently a neet in desperation. So no easy answer.

Listen and talk with God as you work. I have a hard time engaging in traditional prayer, especially if the day is busy. So as I go about my daily tasks I will tell God that I am open to hearing him and wish to see his guiding spirit.

I felt like I should tell you, OP, because it seems that a lot of other people in this thread are downplaying how hard you work and how difficult it is for some of us to engage in traditional prayer. Just listening to God and responding when it feels right has taken me to some interesting places.

Also, God will save you from this situation if you ask Him, anon (Matthew 7:7-11). Give Him the first place in your life and in your heart, and trust that He will help you.
