I converted after watching The Young Pope, and I'm far more extreme in my beliefs than most of my traditional Christian entourage.

How is that bad? I never was interrested in Christianity, and even then I didn't convert because of it, but it led me to be interrested and to then convert, even though its vision of the Pope and such is sinful, and there's a lot of errors, it still led me to Him.

I am on the fence about this. On one hand, people get in contact with "Christian" memes like deus vult crusaders; then they came for the meme, but stayed for Christ, the Truth, and the salvation. On the other hand, it can led to lukewarms, meme spouting nonsense not unlike horrible hardcore fanboy groups, and "cultural" Christians who takes the faith lightly, which can repel people away from Christianity.
