The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

I was arguing with some christian women online, and it was pointed out a gender inbalance in the church.

I knew of it but… until now never paid much attention…

But I decided to research on it, and found out a lot of research been going into it, and the conclusions are some stuff I already had my suspicion:

modern churches are too feminine, they embrace feminine values, the activities are feminine, and so on…

also the research showed to me something that I learned, I was wrong about…

I believed strongly, that the gap was just that women are more spiritual, but most religions have women and men in equal numbers or more men than women, Christianity (excepting Orthodox, but there is no Orthodox church near me), is the only religion that is female dominated.

As I went reading the articles, they pointed out lots of stuff that for me is true…

Example: one article pointed out that youth groups often fail to keep boys, because they have very lenghty singing sessions with lots of "love style" songs and songs about being thankful…

Except adolescent boys, don't have much to be thankful for yet, so it feels pointless… and indeed, it felt that way to me. I went because people made me to, I hated it.

Sunday school… same shit, sitting still while a female teacher spout nonsense, stuff I KNEW it was nonsense and couldn't correct because I am just a kid, and the girls buying it all (including some sad episodes, like people deciding games are evil and wanting to burn board games, later I learned that was a rumour, that started with a guy named Josue Yrion… there are lots of terrible videos of him on youtube, he had a twitter account that looked like parody but twitter deleted it).

So after I left the church, I started to read the bible, I became more and more masculine, not just in appearance, with beard and whatnot, but in behaviour, becoming more competitive, outspoken (despite being introvert), being turned off by masculine women (short hair, blazer, etc… turn me off), and so on…

I want to go back to the church, hopefully start my family there, and I want to lead at least my family, more people if possible, into a future where Christianity still exists… Other religions are out-reproducing and out-converting us, christian countries keep being baited into stupid wars and are overextending, and feminist culture is destorying our countries from within.

Even if I have to move to a distant farm and raise my family there with christian values, I want to preserve those christian values, I want a next generation where men are men, women are women, and they all follow YHWH.

Yet… I don't know where to start… the place where I live has a crazy amount of Assemblies of God (seriously, there is even one street with TWO churches of these), and some other pentecostal churches, also my country was until some 30 years ago Catholic majority, and is not hard to find those cool catholic churches with spires and towers… But I don't know where I can go, and be a man, and attract a mate, and lead by example, maybe I am sinning by being too timid, but I feel like if I try, I will just be ostracized and ejected right out of the door again.

Christianity started as men’s ministry

Remember how Jesus began his ministry? He recruited six men, six women and launched a children’s ministry. No, the earliest manifestation of church was a men’s ministry. Twelve regular guys walking daily with Christ. Diversity and increase came later. Christianity started as a men’s ministry. Yes, Jesus had women followers. He ministered to children. But his primary focus was the development of a dozen men.

I don't say this because they'll listen. I actually think the female teachers will not listen because females aren't supposed to be teaching religion, but they still are, so they probably have some modernism in them anyways. You should still tell them this anyways.

> I actually think the female teachers will not listen because females aren't supposed to be teaching religion

Teaching in public/church is forbidden. Not teaching religion in general. Both parents are supposed to instruct their children. And the apostles made a point that all exhort each other (Hebrews 3:13). We'd all be just as culpable if we see an evil and don't teach and correct anything about it. And God chose a woman to announce the greatest religious message of all: his resurrection.

Not trying to spread liberal nonsense or anything. Just pointing out that we're not called to be dick swinging macho man Muslims.

Women appear to be drawn to mystical elements of religion throughout the world. This is perhaps a reaction to feelings of powerlessness in traditionally patriarchal cultures. Femininity features prominently in occult traditions.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how Marian observances can be appealing to people of the female sex.

0e4b7c  No.748887

Constantly thinking of oneself as man or woman is a sign of the fallen state. Not the risen one God gave you in baptism.

Mk 12:25 - For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

Gal 3:23 - There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

When we reference this reality, we reference something broken from Adam and Eve… then further added with curses pronounced by God. But just as this came from our first parents, Baptism is DEATH and a beginning of one's own resurrection where you inherit new life in Christ.

There's no denying these differences are real, but they shouldn't be in one's walk with Christ. Once you start bringing in old Fallen habits into the things of a Risen Life with God, you're creating unnecessary problems.

Looking at the history of secularisation in Britain youll find a situation very similar to that which you speak off.

Men start dropping out of the churches around 1900, a lot of church work from then on the dominated by women. (See Brown and Bruce on British religion). However in the 1960s women start rapidly dropping out leading to a near enough collpoase of British religiosity.

We have not be very careful however when deciding what is to be done. From a British perspective the church now needs to appeal to both women and men.(i dont know if your american or whatever so it may be different)

On a side note , in the Victorian era England there was a movement called 'muscular Christianity' which as set up to tackle anxieties about the church becoming effeminate, perhaps we need some of that now

Luke 9:

23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? 26 Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

The number of young traditional christian women I've met in my life can be counted on one hand. To count the number of young traditional christian men I've met, I'd need at least 6 or 7 hands.

Women have no place for the church… or being feminine and motherly. They prefer whoring themselves out and being breadwinners. The church and the Lord has a great holy place for them, but they rebuke.

IDK what kind of place you live, but in my traditional LCMS circle it's a sausage-fest, but we a a doctrinally sound and liturgical congregation, so of course men are drawn to it. Of course if you go to some kumbahya church there will be a bunch of virtue signalling women. Find a liturgical congregation.

Lemme give you a hot take: Men are leaving the church because there are few women (and the few there of sketch quality and not what was promised). The women have left the church because the have fallen for the feminist ruse.

Anon, you could join BSF (bible study fellowship - https://www.bsfinternational.org ). There is almost certainly a men's group located somewhere within driving distance from you. And if not, email the nearest one anyway and they'll figure something out for you. BSF is truly an amazing experience, I say this from personal experience. I literally went from being in church, leaving church because of basically similar issues like the ones you bring up here (eventually it felt very naive and childlike), and there were none in the church I was in growing up able to provide me the books and teaching I needed to take on the secular philosophy I was encountering (along with college happening and related shenanigans related to me being that age and plus male) and it's all too easy to abandon the church completely as see it as a women cult. In any event (skipping all of the details in the middle) I later realized on my own that I was wrong and there is a lot of wisdom in the bible. I joined a church, and – for exactly the reasons you are mentioning right here – new that I also needed to find some type of men's group to join. I joined BSF. You will get out of it exactly in proportion to how much you put into it. I cannot emphasize enough how spiritually productive BSF has been for me.

Lastly, in case you are about to go off and research "BSF" to find out their mission statement and etc., don't bother, truly. What it actually is is a group of men who meet up who want to go through the bible together in a serious, focused manner. If you do not like the one you went to, try another one. Your experience will vary, as the men at each location differ from one another.

There are men from all different faiths and walks of life. You don't have to use a particular version of the bible. That is immensely helpful, actually. Each week, you all read through the same passages, and think about and respond to questions, and then, each week, come back and have some accountability to each other as you relay back what you've learned from it. Having contact with people from other christian backgrounds and different life experiences has been immensely useful. This can also help you select a church in your area, as you will be able to ask around there among the men there.

>worship

Also, worship (and the lecture, if you choose to do that part of it) – and interactions– is way different in an audience of just dudes. It's really actually opened my eyes to much of everything is catered around women in the church. It's much more about disseminating practical wisdom as efficiently as possible, and in sharing in each others struggles.

Also just fyi I go to the adult men one. They have other ones but if you're an adult man then be one. I'm definitely on the younger side relative to most of the folks there, but that's only because I think of exactly what you said, our age group is missing in general everywhere.

eeebf6  No.755307

>>755302

>all different faiths

This is not correct. I meant to say "denominations". It does tend to be protestant, but it's more like the "quaker" type of protestant where you can speak if you have something you would like to contribute.

Importantly, there is also enough structure to also limit the ability of the random ramblings of a foolish or naive person to disrupt the entire enterprise. This is accomplished primarily through decentralization (i.e., you may express your opinion, but you must also allow others to speak also so that they can express theres. In practice, there are enough men there (and not nearly enough time) to make it impossible for anyone to derail the thing entirely. Plus, the people that consistently have wise things to say are usually asked to share and explain their opinions more often. At least in my group. Catholics attend also, btw. Orthodox is less common in my area, but I am sure there are those as well.

God speed, brother!

Men have failed women, anon. Fix yourself, fix your community. The women will follow. Women are not actively reshaping society , men are. You blame the producers of the filth and degeneracy , but the demand produces the producers of it. You can’t be hypocritical in this respect , kill the demand for it , kill the production of it. The demand is far more of a cause here than the people attempting to “sell” it. Everyone needs to make a living somehow , and who knows what thst girl needs right then as far as money and things go, or what the prior men did thst corrupted her enough to be like that (meditate on this , and imagine how truly terrible those experiences must have been for her to turn her into that, and then look at how many women are like this, and think about what thst must mean about the men who she has encountered in life). Yes , it’s a sin, but the bigger sin is men. The Bible gives men responsibility over women, who do you think ought to be blamed when you and I, who have not acted like Men , are not treated like one? The problem is us, anon. also God is teaching us , I think. We followed our bodies and this is the consequence, but don’t think for a second we ourselves did not do this. Do you think there are no consequences to your porn habit ? That demand from your “private” behavior at night restructures the entire economy of the world , you can reason your own share off (as I and I am sure you generally somehow do) as a small part of thst) , but realize that the demand would be sapped and the entire “porn economy” would crumble immediately, overnight, and ripple throughout the entire internet and the world if men all around the world stopped giving them web traffic because “everyone else does”. The demand causes the content and the drives the behavior of the producers of the content. it is NOT the other way around.

The church needs real balence. Too feminine and you get some Catholic Church having girls in skirts dancing like hippies in front of the holy alter. Too masculine, or rather worldly masculinity, and you get megachurch pastors walking in jeans and Metalica and inserting sex jokes in their sermons. The church is a bride, but also an army, and we need the power and nobility of a knighthood. The world has neither, and God, by his son and his mother have both.

At the risk of sounding MGTOW, don’t improve yourself for a woman. Improve yourself for yourself and God. Nobody is entitled to a woman, and a true man of honor knows how to live a life without a woman. That isn’t to say marriage isn’t a sacrament or something that’s ordained by God, but on the other hand, Marriage is the only one of the seven sacraments that’s optional, and despite identifying as Orthodox, I would say that Holy Orders, or merely a vow to God, is a worthy substitute.

All that is to say, never grow dispondant over the lack of a mate. Peter lost his wife to death, and yet he found that God had other plans for him, and becoming the very first bishop of Rome and founding what is still the most powerful church in the world for better or worse probably wouldn’t have been possible had he had children to take care of.

But of course. Don't you know it's OUR fault for the current state of the average woman? Every extra pound she gains, every new tattoo she gets, every pill she pops, every stranger she sleeps with, every bastard child she aborts/pops out, every no-fault divorce she initiates, and every other wrongdoing she performs is specifically the fault of us 300lb, Mountain Dew-chugging anime nerds who have the gall to complain about the behavior of said women. These women are practically helpless infants who aren't responsible for their own actions, so help them by taking the blame, "improving ourselves" (these women deserve nothing but the best, of course), and not saying or doing anything further to correct their behavior. It's our fault for not leading these women properly, but don't you dare hurt their feelings by speaking up!
