Can someone, assuming a non-Christian, be a "good person" if they reenact Pagan rituals for heritage reasons but are otherwise beneficial to the world?

Sorry for minimal OP. Feel sick to my stomach.

Yes, but only despise enacting in Pagan rituals.

What do you want to learn form this question though?

Whether I can stop emotionally torturing my codependent best friend who has spent the past 5 years developing an emotional dependency on my approval, only to pick up Paganism as a hobby to better connect with their roots and discover that we look down pretty hard on divination.

>Emotionally dependency on your approval

Bad idea overall, you should get on that.

Anyways Paganism in 2018 doesn't look to good for me.

We're both complete wrecks that help hold the other up.

They don't even believe in Paganism. They're atheist. They just want something to connect themselves to their European heritage, and like the aesthetic.

I appreciate the irony, but I'm trying to keep my best friend from self-destructing here.

It appears to be more of an exercise than anything else - but I would be more concerned that it provides them nothing. He sounds like he is seeking meaning in his life from his blood. It's hollow, and given his emotional state, he will eventually realize the hollowness of his actions and may feel more depressed than he is now.

Really shouldn't be a problem for Europeans as Christians. There's like ~1000 years of history to pick from. For north euro types, there's the varangian guard?, the normans, crusader factions, teutonic knights etc

Problem is pagans want to reduce everything to 'my tribe vs the world' and end up disconnected from everything and everyone.

Nothing wrong with that.

This board continously pounces on clearly nonchristian works that have Christian elements in them because the creator likes it.
