Don't try to reason with them, they're just going to jingle their keys and start doing mental acrobatics. Trust me, if you're a Prot they will straight up ignore Bible verses and start talking about Tradition. If you're Orthodox they'll just ignore Tradition and start mumbling "schismatics muhfuggah".

They just want an earthly monarch to submit to and "enemies" of said monarch they're allowed to kill, rape, torture, burn, etc. but still be able to call themselves Christian.

If a Pope were to attempt to exercise something (ex cathedra) false - the sky is red, Christ is not a person of the Trinity, or anything else contradicting or denying previous Divine Law he is de-facto deposed of the Papal Seat. Papal infallibility on judgements of faith and morals is a big red official stamp of the Holy Spirit, that that which was taught was a clarification and official divine endorsement on specific judgements of the Church, as long as it has precedence and no contradictions contained wherein.

Friend, it's simple. The Pope cannot contradict the Sacred Scripture, or the Sacred Tradition. The Church's teaching consists of three pillars, not simply the Pope alone.

Protestantism itself has a history of using state power to punish or kill its enemies as well. Don't think you're so special. Anyway, there's actually nothing wrong with using force against heretics.

Recently I was told that I'm not even allowed to quote the Bible to them because I'm not Catholic and therefore have no way to identify what is scripture and what isn't
