The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

I'm reading through Luke right now. I've heard my dad read it many times before and heard chapters recited in mass too. As I recently kept reading it I kept making the same assumption about it I did when I was a child. When Jesus said shake the dust of your sandals when a city doesn't like you I thought He meant just don't respond and shake it off. But I came across a verse I never paid much attention to before. Jesus repeated this command in Luke 10:10 but said

>"Whatever town you enter and they do not receive you, go out into the streets and say, 11 ‘The dust of your town that clings to our feet, even that we shake off against you.’ Yet know this: the kingdom of God is at hand. 12 I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom on that day than for that town."

This is clearly FAR less cucked than the interpretation I knew since I was a child. Not only does Jesus say to verbally insult them (not just walk away like a cuck) but also that their punishment will be worse than that of Sodom. How did I not know about this. Was my understanding of Luke only from cherrypicking pastors and a dad who apparently didn't want me to know Jesus was based?

Man if you are having fun in Luke, you'll love John 8:44-45

You'll soon realize that priests focus on certain passages in relation to sociological tension. When times are hard, they preach on punishment and redemption. When times are easy, loving your neighbor.

>Considering things on the bible manly based on the standards of this world instead of judging things to be manly based on the bible

Holy Mary, Mother of God, I just realised that gay libertarian snake thing is literal satanism. Our Lady of the Rosary, crush the head of the snake
