I don't remember exactly. I was a long time /lit/ poster on 4chan, at least as far back as 2010. Somehow, I ended up on 8chan's /pol/, a few years ago, where I got "redpilled" on a lot of things, but generally found them to be to hysterical and irrational. Due to an interest in religion in general I must have decided to check out the /christian/ board. I've been posting here on/off ever since. Now I'm attending an Orthodox Church and hope to convert.

I used to enjoy polandnall memes in leddit back in 2013/14. From there, I went to /int/, where I used to shitpost about national stereotypes. After getting banned for discussing the US election, I moved to halfchan /pol/, where I got increasingly more right wing.

I've always been a lukewarm Catholic, but the threads about Catholicism in 4/pol/ rekindled my interest about religion. Initially it was more of a "muh tradition, muh history" kind of interest, but then I got increasingly interested in religion itself. I started attending Mass in January 2018 and wanted a place to discuss Christianity. Christian threads in other boards are always full of larpagans and trolls, so I searched for a specifically Christian board. That's how I found this place.

I used visit 4chan for /fit/. So I came here when I became a Christian.

I became a Christian because of Notes from the Underground by Dostoevsky. I was reading some edgy existentialists from the 20th century because I had an identity crisis in my 20's. When I stumbled unto Dostoevsky, which a normie who misinterpreted it recommend on the Internet, I couldn't pinpoint what was different. By his biography I found out it was Orthodoxy.

Now I have "better" reasons to be Christian like Theology and experience from prayer and fasting.

I don't think it's important how we get to Christianity, but what we do with it. A lot of converts seem to come from /pol/ and I think we shouldn't treat them with disdain.

No one gets offended if they join the Church by any facet of it: Art, Scripture, History, Philosophy, but the social teaching seems to be taboo. They are cathecumens, so they post dumb shit. But who didn't? I think their proportion will increase as the political landscape becomes even more insane.

Came here the night /v/ and /pol/ moved. Came to the board when it began and watched it grow, with a few smaller more liberal competitors which fizzled out. Before that, I would regularly post Scripture and argue with the LARPagans of their day on /pol/, whom now went to /fringe/, while they promoted Gnosticism, New Age spiritual garbage, literal demon worship, and other /x/-tier faggotry.

I'm glad this board exists, and I'm glad /pol/ became more Christian over time. I'm a relative newfag from 2012, but when I started posting, it was only fedoras and the above mentioned. Rarely were there any Christians.
