The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Other than for political reasons? I notice that there are many traditionalist christians who advocate for a modern day crusade against heretics and praise Charlemagne despite his shoddy acts such as slaughtering 4500 non-christians. I disagree with them.

Our God is not the God of Islam whom is said to have created humans for the sole purpose of understanding and worshiping Him. Our God doesn't make us slaves, He created us because He loves us and wants us to love as He has loved. This is the reason why Islamic teachings are fundamentally prone to incite violence in the name of God, unlike our teachings which are prone to acts of love, acceptance, and meekness. I don't think making others worship our God without respecting their freedom and self dignity has a place in the new testament.

And henceforth, why do we have to replicate the ways of the Muslims?

>Our God doesn't make us slaves

>"muh freedom" christianity

Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

We are not free, we never were and never will be. Freedom is the biggest buzzword there ever was, and it's the ultimate illusion.

Your only freedom is whether you choose to submit to God, in which case you're not free, or you submit to your ego, in which case you are enslaved by your whims and desires. There is no "independence from God AND suffering at the same time". Ultimate freedom is non-existence. Deal with it, and come back when you're a grown-up.

If you want "freedom", there is the false god of liberalism for you. It's a retarded path to nihilism and spiritual death, go for it if you want to experience utter degeneracy.

Ugh… freedom… I hope it dies a final death soon.

To put what >>731518 said in a different way, there is no freedom, because you either follow God or Satan.

Man ever since that crazy Prot got killed by those Pacific Islanders there’s been a a flood of threads about whether non-Christians can go to heaven. Guess it’s the new board fixation, like that anti-Baptist flood a few months back.

Everything we do are done because we chose to do it, isn't that right? How is that not the definition of freedom? Maybe in the afterlife we'll have no freedom of where to go, but here God graced us with freedom to choose. How can we love if we have no freedom of not to love, I mean is it even love anymore?

And didn't Jesus told the disciples to shake the dust off their sandals and leave whenever their presence is not accepted?
