Ahah.
The new "doctors of the Church" I talked about are the recent females that have been granted the title of "doctors of the Church". Do you know that catholic title Mr. catholic ? The first women who received this title is st teresa of avila, so I certainly know her.

Problem is the fact the Church acted with caution back then, and didn't made women doctor of the Church. Why ? because :
>"I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet." 1 tim 2:12
Of course there can be exceptions of women being good theologians, but exceptions are now shown as normals, but the path of philosophy is masculine and the catholic Church has forgotten that. All traditions are clear on that, and the christian one of course too.
>GREGORY THE GREAT : “Woman is slow in understanding and her unstable and naive mind renders her by way of natural weakness to the necessity of a strong hand in her husband. Her ‘use’ is two fold; animal sex and motherhood.”
Gregory the Great, in P.G. 59, 268.
>SAINT THOMAS AQUINAS : "But man is yet further ordered to a still nobler vital action, and that is intellectual operation." Summa theologiae, I, Qu 92, Art 1, responsa
>SAINT JOHN CHRYSOSTOM : "The woman taught once, and ruined all. On this account therefore he saith, let her not teach. But what is it to other women, that she suffered this? It certainly concerns them; for the sex is weak and fickle, and he is speaking of the sex collectively." (1 Timothy, Homily 9).
>"were great characters, great women and admirable…. Yet did they in no case outstrip the men, but occupied the second rank" (Epistle to the Ephesians, Homily 13)
I won't post every father of the church on this, it would be too long.
The catholic church promoted 36 saints to the title of doctor of the Church, strangely no one where women until 1970 with Paul VI, known for his egalitarian views. Since then, there have been 3 other women in the list (out of 5 new doctors). Understand it all goes with the new narrative dating from like saint John XXIII of the equality of the genders. But the genders are not equals.
What do saint Paul say :
>1 Corinthians 7-10 : "A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man. Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man. For this reason a woman ought to have a sign of authority on her head, because of the angels."
See the difference ? Understand why we say "Father" or "Son" when we talk about God ? Because it is the best analogy we have, because men reflect better God.
Fathers of the Church all said this. Men is the image of God and women the glory of men, but IN THEIR RESPECTIVE ROLE coming from this immense inequality, they will find equality in Christ. Gender role inequality being a corrective, a just punishment.
> telling women there are gender roles and that theirs is different than men's.
The catholic Church comes with the time in regard of gender egalitarianism :
The Vatican II Pastoral Constitution “The Church in the Modem World" stated, "With respect to the fundamental rights of the person, every type of discrimination, whether social or cultural, whether based on sex, race, color, social condition, language or religion, is to be overcome and eradicated as contrary to God's intent" (No. 29).
Yet women have always been discriminated in all traditional countries, in all christian countries. And Fathers of the church defended this distinction of gender role.
>Take your shit to /pol/ if saying you are thinking of becoming ortho just because we don't make women our slaves.
I just want to become orthodox because it seems they better defend the holy Tradition and don't fall for the world.
