The point is to uplift the faithful. It's to reassure those of us who struggle, and remind us that God is real and that he still works wonders in the world. It's not to convert the Godless, but rather to remind the faithful that God is real.

Rationalization of what, exactly? The sun dances in the sky. Eucharists bleed. Statues weep. People are healed of illnesses. Prophecies of the future are made. What are we rationalizing, exactly? It seems to me that I'm presenting objective facts–evidence–and you can choose for yourself what you think.
But it is very funny that atheists so often accuse us of lacking proof when we have more proof than they think.

marian apparitions are valid unless the apparition doesn't have feet. If it doesn't have feet, it's probably the devil, because satan fears the feet that will crush his head more than anything, such that he cannot depict them.

you literally made a counter argument to an atheist with a picture of a statue that appears to be lacrimating through the side of it's nose. there's an objective anatomical issue here that screams at me to the idiot whose hoaxed this bleeding to at least wipe the virgin's face after using her to make lies.
if one is to argue against atheists, you have to beat the hell out of them. not present them targets that anyone can pick off from a distance and use to beat the hell out of you yourself with as I have just done. you've literally just presented the ass-end of a hoax to an atheist so that he can debunk it and make the lot of us look like pious frauds and asses.

My question is: why would our Mother be crying tears of blood? God doesn’t glory in the macabre, and it seems almost satanic to me. However, seeing as I’m Orgogogs, we have similar events with icons smelling like myrrh and have even be found weeping. And of course, if it isn’t a fraud, there’s that bible that was producing gallons of oil that was making a fuss on here a while back.
Pray to God for discernment, separating true miracles from pious frauds

Does “she” say that her Son Jesus Christ was truly God in the Flesh? “By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.” (1 John 4:2-3)

It's not fetishism. I agree that such a thing is rather weird.
Mary will crush the serpent's head, and so satan is fearful of her feet and thus cannot depict them when he tries to deceive people with false visions.
thus: sure sign of a non-diabolical apparition – feet.

>Why are you all so afraid of admitting that God channels power through the Roman Church?
No one's afraid of that – we'll admit God's Spirit is active and moving through the believers in the RCC.
But why Mary? EVERY FRICKIN' TIME "God" wants to communicate anything to the RCC, it's through that heretical-all-but-deification-of-Mary symbology. Never just an angel. Never Christ. Always Mary. Christ appears to Muslims, Africans and Chinese in visions, and they convert soon after like St. Paul did and cathbros are all like "yeah, whatever", but "Mary" pops in to say hello and everyone loses their minds. It just reeks of idolatrous groupthink.

first of all calling us idolators really makes us want to respond to your kind with eagerness and niceness. Should really work on talking with your fellow Christian brothers with charity.
Second of all, Jesus has appeared far more than Mary apparition-wise. And I mean an absolute ton. Mary is the Queen of the Saints, of course she's going to appear more than any other human, but Jesus has appeared far more than her. To act like only Mary has appeared to Catholics is ludicrous. There's a million places to start, but I would recommend:
The Diary of Saint Faustina
The Diary of Saint Gertrude the Great
The Letters of St. Catherine of Sienna
The Miracle of the Holy Fire
The Infant Jesus of Prague
The Visions of Blessed Edvige Carboni
The Eucharistic Miracles of Lanciana, Bolsena, and Buenos Aires to name a few
Saint Therese of Lisieux, Saint Seraphim Sarov, Saint Catherine of Siena, Saint Anthony of Padua, Saint Rose of Lima, Blessed Little Nellie of Holy God, Saint Christopher, and quite a few other Saints who interacted with the Child Jesus
And many many more where that came from.

Why is Pope Pius XII making Saint Sergius a Saint strange to you? Patriarch Bartholomew did the exact same thing when he canonized Saint Stephen of Hungary in 2000. Both Churches do this, they share Saints, it is a wonderful sign of ecumenism.
