The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

If God is pure act, and God exists in eternity, then all his actions must be actual and eternal. Therefore, the creation of the universe is eternal having no beginning BUT it's still created whereas God is uncreated. From my understanding, this is sorta how Origen perceived it. Is this true?

"Pure act" is the definition of a generic philospher's god, not the Living God of the Bible.

I'm smol brain, but I think that's similar to how I understand creation. It isn't a one and done event, but God speaks creation into existence constantly as is his will. Maybe some big brains can elucidate on the idea of the eternality of the act of creation.

Origen says that Actus Purus leads to matter existing prior to time. That's true, hellenism is like this also.

Essence-energies distinction can explain it without uncreated matter.

Sadly, they think it's only Protestants who laugh at it. The ancient church has been laughing much longer.
