I don't understand what you mean, OP. St Hosea married a prostitute as a symbol of God's relationship with His chosen people. It's not a comment on the actual sexually adulterous tendencies of people, either of ancient Israel or of today.

Yes, sexual morality wasn't exactly at a high point during the period covered in Kings. But Hosea marrying a prostitute wasn't a comment on that specifically, but on how God's people has betrayed God as a whole (which certainly includes going against the sexual regulations in the Law, but the point of Hosea is that the root of Israel's crimes is idolatry and relying on political ressources over faith).

Hosea married and loved the prostitute in spite of her fornications. God still loves us in spite of our idolatries and sins. This is true.

But the fact that he has to marry a prostitute is a PUNISHMENT. The standard cuck reading of Hosea is that "you should marry a prostitute / single mom", "women being whores and men being cucked out is OK", "oh God loves everyone so it's cool we're all fornicating". But the majority of Hosea is about God's relentless judgment and the need for the wicked to repent and turn back to God. The whores are exposed for their whoredom. Cuck pastors don't really focus on these parts.

Is this wrong? We're living in a wicked age caused by the idolatry of sex and the abandonment of Jesus, and we deserve God's punishment. That doesn't mean we have to say that being a whore is OK, or raise our children to be whores.
