Baptist here, after reading some works of Martin Luther, I cant help but feel that the SBC is lacking in areas like sacraments and even what faith is. I read Luther and I was shocked by the profound depth of his writings. The real presence of Christ in faith, assurance that makes sense, the sacraments and the beauty of their divine service.

I am considering moving to the LCMS but I want to hear some thoughts first before I swim to Wittenburg

LCMS is pretty conservative, though there are some loony leftists on the fringes, just like everywhere

Of course He will. But if you love Him, you should be a part of the OHCA Church that He set up instead of picking your favorite flavor of pseudo-worship. Don't worship Him your way; worship Him His way.

I would recommend it 100% but i am biased. I joined the LCMS a year after having returned to thr Catholicism of my youth for 4 years.

The actual synod is very conservative theologically and socially. Like another anon said the leftists are fringe (and concentrated in the PNW)

We don't have sacraments because we reject the very doctrine, that's why we say "ordinance" instead

If you mean "real presence" as in the Eucharist you're right that you don't belong in the SBC, but I wish you'd reconsider
