I'd call it a cult really. Belief-based religious organizations are wildly different from each other, but interest-based cults are all the same.

-Worshipful reverence of living people.

-Everyone is controlled by mood-altering drugs (the 'softer' ones which are less deadly but more fun.)

-The drugs make people dependent on the provider.

-Wild sex encouraged; lack of sex for any reason viewed as a problem.

-All people's money ends up going to the cult.

-Nobody is in a good state, nobody's life has improved; yet they would all give up anything else in the world before their magical world of sex and drugs.

This is mankind in a feral state. This is what divorce from civilization looks like. This is the mainstream's imposed norm for children in developed countries.

Because without God, nothing matters and everything is permitted.

Why wouldn't they kill people who they think wronged them or that they simply didn't like? Its not like there is Someone who will judge them afterdeath for their actions (at least thats what they believe).
