We all suffer from lust, especially those who were true addicts prior to conversion. As Priests will say and the elderly alike the urge will never fade. However we can combat that urge, do not give into it, and do not give ground to it. Everytime you think of a lustful thought instantly hammer down on it and pray "Lord please remove these sinful thoughts from my mind" repeat that and think of the Lord on the Cross dying for your sins. Over time it will become a habit and by not giving any ground to these thoughts you will eventually change your mind to instantly shut down such thoughts. If you see an image on FB, Youtube, 8chan or 4/2chan or whatever media you're using and its sexual in nature. Scroll off, or close it. Do not tempt yourself by viewing it or entertaining the thought in your mind. It will just make things harder. You won't truly be able to free yourself of lust but you will be able to tame it and make it much more manageable and a much smaller issue over time. In addition try to keep your idle time to a minimum, if you're bored and just sitting in front of your computer you may revert to old habits. Constantly keep your mind on doing something. Or go to bed, read the Bible, go lift, read a book, etc. As for outlets. Try lifting, not only is it good for you but it should help tire you out as well as fill in your spare time. Last of all keep your prayer life consistent. This one is very important continue to pray for the strength to follow the Lord's path and not to stray. Pray for deliverance from your lustful nature and pray the Lord continues to act and change you as He sees fit to help you get closer to Him. I found when I struggled with Lust I would relapse when I let my prayer life get away from me, or stopped visiting the sacraments as much as I used to. I may be making this sound like a rough time, which it is. But life has improved significantly. I've gotten closer to God through doing this. People around me who ask me about my belief on masturbation and the fact I've avoided it so long tend to get interested in Christianity in general and I've managed to pull people from hard atheism to agnosticism leaning on theism. I wish you the best anon, stay faithful and even if you were to fall do not let it keep you down long. Remember that feeling of falling from grace and use it to stop you falling again. And remember God forgives you, and God loves you through it all. God bless you anon.
>This coming from a guy that wanked 5 times a day for about 5 years. Have gone 13 months without masturbating.
