There was this book I read that gives the historical background on the Bible from the OT to the time of Jesus. It talked about the textual sources behind the books of the Bible and their historical context. I can’t find it anymore. Obviously there’s probably a ton of books like that, but can anyone suggest a really good one? Especially one that might be a good supplement to reading the Bible itself
