The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

And? This has been a thing since antiquity.

This is old-

Yes, this is old. Do you live under a rock, OP?

The Church of Greece restored the female diaconate in 2004 too, I believe.

As for the office itself, it was sometimes understood as a minor order (see the Council of Nicea's canon 19) and sometimes as a major order equal to that of male deacons (see the Council in Trullo's canon 14).

I don't know, maybe someone who's read any church history at all.

>orthos resort to MUH CHURCH FATHERS when confronted with female deacons but ignore the Early Church when confronted with the reality of the papacy

this is too funny

So just like in the Bible?

Popes used to be not heretics for many centuries.

It is the Catholics who ignore the early Church (and in fact the first 1000 years or so of the Church) concerning the Papacy.

Incidentally, they ignore the same when deaconesses are concerned, even going as far as to claim the office never existed within canonical Christianity.

But I already know you're a falseflagger who wants to turn this into yet another thread about papal supremacy. Isn't there already one in the catalog?

"I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deaconess of the church at Cenchrea" (Romans 16-1)
