The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Does /christian/ ever spend time in nature, away from the godless urban environment? Being surrounded by nature is definitely healthy for your spirituality since it facilitates communion with God. There must be a link between urbanity and atheism.

Camping too, I guess.

Yeah as much as I can. I am building a house on the countryside now and plan to move as soon as I can. Humans were not meant to live in human rat mazes.

This is what happens when you put too many people together: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_B._Calhoun#Mouse_experiments

What kind of house?

Yes. I find it very hard to live in the city but I stay here for the sake of my loved ones. Whenever I get a chance to work in the countryside (for long term, living there too) I do so. At such times the world becomes normal again and God’s graces are much easier to recognize and contemplate daily. A fact that people don’t think of much is that for most of human existence we lived in open living environments, and that the city on the other hand is literally man-made. It is separated from the earth in its own bubble as much as possible. Not much of God to see there, just a sinking madhouse.

I try to. You're definitely right in that it's easier to feel the presence of God when you're in the unmarred beauty of His creation.
