Ben Shapiro blasts media coverage of the Catholic sex abuse scandal. He suggests that the leftist media is shielding Francis because they like his generally liberal positions.

He points out that if Benedict or John Paul were still in power, the media would have started a firestorm over this because they don't like their conservative social positions. Since the media likes Francis and his liberal environmental and social positions, they are doing everything they can to protect him.

He appears to be correct in this instance, but remember this guy is a jew and by definition rejects Christ. Even if he's being honest (which I doubt since he has an obvious neocon agenda) he would only be able to comment in a political way. He would rather see this event cause the collapse of the Catholic church rather than this being the kick starter for an internal reform and return to Tradition.

Remember that the Catholic church has historically always been seen as the greatest enemy by jews. Traditional Catholic communities are seen as hate groups by jews. It wasn't until V2 and Nostra Aetate that the Catholic church neutered its views on the jews.

Never trust one, even if they're correct sometimes.

Most of the media is siding with Pope Francis because he is protecting gays against persecution. Anything less than protecting gay priests is seen as a return to the dark ages.
