>You're clearly aware of its meaning and just pretending or either completely retarded. The only written record of Jesus "fighting" is in the Temple, which has a quite other meaning to it. Resisting evil itself doesn't seem to be about physical being that is. But even then lets say its true, what if you fight the evil and lose, what are you supposed to do, especially when unnumbered and it just get worse for you.
I don't really understand this counter-point. What is the "its meaning?" Was my assumption about the verse we're discussing correct?
We can play semantics with the word "fighting" but what we're talking about is actively working to stop evil versus tolerating. Or, at least, that's what I'm advocating - actively stopping evil.
In your initial post you said:
>If you confront a bully and let him punch you again he will stop doing it
and
>What did they meant by that, I think there is more than enough empirical evidence that they become even crueler and it doesn't get better.
I answered through the picture: Christ wasn't telling you to let the bully hit you again, he was telling you to publicly shame him. Did you read the related picture in my last post? I noted pic related.
So, does that clear up the point I was making? Am I addressing your points? You've been rather unclear as well.
