How bad is it watching gore videos mates? Serious question. What would the Christian view of this be? Is it even possible to answer due to the bible being written so long ago?

I don't know if theres any direct reading relating to this. But I believe it would be sinful. I remember I watched a few .webms out of morbid curiosity and watching them I realized these are God's children I am watching dying/being run over/tortured by cartel etc.

Another way to think of it is if you had a child that got killed by a train/beheaded etc would you want people watching it? Again I don't have anything to go with this, but it feels intrinsically wrong would not recommend.

Depends what your intentions are with such viewings. If you use them to meditate upon death, particularly your death and the fragility of life and the existence of evil, then okay.

If you're watching them pornographically, as entertainment aka "wow creepy! too sick, lol" then youre very low on the spiritual development totem pole.

Came here to say exactly this. Death has become a sanitary and abstract concept in our modern world. As absurd as it might sound, it can be a profoundly spiritual experience just to see the reality of what death looks like, to acknowledge that it is the wages of our sin, and to remember that Christ's mission is to save us from that fate.
