>Any thoughts on this?
First off, I don't think the president of the US is the one who decides what the name of a state is. That's up to each foreign power to decide whether to recognize the name they claim or not. For instance, Greece refuses to recognize FYROM under the name Macedonia. Only Turkey recognizes a "Northern Cyprus," only some countries recognize Palestine, most countries don't have relations with Taiwan in an official capacity, and so on. At most the US President and Congress could act together to refuse to recognize the name, but that's not politically likely to happen, even if it were an extremely unpopular policy to have. That is because the Israel lobby is too powerful and they would probably betray the country to our enemies (see what they did to Germany) before allowing our government to do something like that. Of course, they already have done this, e.g. by selling our secrets to China, but they would just do it openly like start collaborating with terrorists, extremists and with rival world powers to start threatening people. They would gladly throw any country under the bus if it meant they benefitted, and they would enjoy to do it just to prove a point to every about how dishonorable they are.
Anyway, secondly you have the fact that while the officially recognized name is one thing, the name that is commonly used doesn't always line up with it. For instance, "North Korea" and "South Korea" aren't the official names of either country, that's just what we call them. It would be easier to just come up with a better name on your own and convince people one at a time what that name should be. As an individual you can always avoid things that would support a foreign state and encourage others to do the same.
Third thing is the problem of getting people to understand what Biblical Israel means. This is the real fight because most people today are convinced that modern translations are "kinda" what Scripture says because all these subverted preachers have been paid off to tell everyone to use the modern versions, and that we can't know exactly what scripture says, so you can pick and choose among the versions, all of which are "modernized" with judaism and talmudic ideas. And even before they came up with those modern bible versions, there was the Scofield Bible that had zionism packed into the pages of footnotes. This subversion is what really needs to be attacked, and the whole concept that we don't really know exactly what the Bible says, that we need scholars to give us the "Jewish cultural context" behind words and all that kind of stuff. It's all wicked.
>some even subscribe to Jewish Talmudic teachings which have been historically blasphemous to Christians.
Most do, and it's always been that way. In fact the state of Israel requires a person to renounce Christ to become a citizen. You can be an atheist, a "jewish buddhist" or any sect of Talmudic Judaism whatsoever is allowed, the literal only requirement is that you must renounce Jesus Christ to gain citizenship there. Also it is openly illegal to preach the gospel there. The Judaics there will complain and you will be arrested for breaking their law by talking to anyone about the word of God. I don't understand how anyone who loves the Lord could see past that or could support that country. It's only through a thick haze of propaganda and re-education to reject the facts that such a thing could be possible, largely in the mold of the post-ww2 propaganda being fed to universities and scholars by the wealthy elite. If you don't fit the propaganda mold, you don't get hired as a scholar. And people trust those scholars. That's the problem.
