Yo. This is HUGE. Like, I couldn't let it sit in an autosaging thread.

Anon works out mark of the beast.

I don't know if this guy knew at the time, but he happened upon the answer to revelations big caution. Believe in transubstantiation and you will be saved.

My own quoting reply follows:

Did you know that you just referenced the mark, anon?

That John of Patmos, John the apostle, and John the evangelist are the same guy?

That a mark "on the hand" is what you do, and one "in the forehead" is what you think?

Holy winnie the pooh, guys. Wisdom is truly The Gospel. Meaning his gospel. Which he knows the best because he wrote it. Where it is chapter six, verse three score and six.

This changes everything.

(For me. And nothing. For you who was already sold on transubstantiation.)

/End quote.

So, John 6:66. What do you guys think?

Is this it? What do we do?

If the best answer is to unify the Catholic Church, and begin reconverting protestants, how do we accomplish these?

verse numbers are a modern invention

This, and chapter numbers were even later than verses.

so what are you saying OP? Rejecting transubstantiation is mark of the beast?

2bac38 No.658093

Getting stoned is a sin, OP.

Yes, but the other replies are compelling.

I'm not a biblical scholar, can't place this on a timeline effective enough to test. (Were the protestant churches that reject transubstantiation before or after numbering?)

At the same time, The Word us timeless and living. Perhaps it may be a part of a larger message, specifying that the mark would conflict with the sacrament somehow. Or the final persecution would target denominations that participate specifically.

Jesus also said that many of the elect, even, would be deceived.

In my church, we burn incense and drink wine.

But I'm mostly sober right now. Weed does make me susceptible.

Anti-real presence protestants were first.

Zwingli was an early memorialist protestant. He died in 1531. Modern versification was invented in 1551.

Anti-real presence is older than protestantism in general, though. The cathars didn't believe in the real presence either, and they're from the 1300s.

Wait, are you being serious? This is acceptable exegesis?

John:

>It's a mark on the forehead or right arm, specifically the number six hundred and sixty-six

Everyone else after John:

<It's exactly not that
