The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

I grew up raised by very very weak believers in God, however I went to a Christian Kindergarten and Christian Highschool back in the day. But because I grew up in such a family, I never really believed in God or Christianity.

Recently my depression has gotten a lot worse, to the point of suicide being the only thing on my mind.

I've been thinking a lot recently too, and I think dedicating to Christianity might lessen my depression. Does anyone have experience with this?

When is it too late to dedicate to god?

How much of the Bible do you have to believe in? I'm an educated engineer working with cyber security (self taught), so I have a hard time convincing my self to believe in some parts of the Bible.

Please help me, I'm lost

What parts.

>Recently my depression has gotten a lot worse, to the point of suicide being the only thing on my mind.

Why are you depressed?

>I've been thinking a lot recently too, and I think dedicating to Christianity might lessen my depression. Does anyone have experience with this?

It comes back to the question: "Why are you depressed?"

I grew up in an athiest household, and the idea that we were only here thanks to chance, and the utter lack of purpose in life, did depress me.

>When is it too late to dedicate to god?

???

Never, you can always turn your life around.

Doesn't matter if you did bad stuff.

>How much of the Bible do you have to believe in?

Everything.

>I'm an educated engineer working with cyber security (self taught), so I have a hard time convincing my self to believe in some parts of the Bible.

Pride is the reason Lucifer fell from heaven.

Most people here will not agree with me, but I see most of the stories in the bible as things to help you be a better Christian. It does not matter if they happened or not, it matters what effect they have on you.

>Please help me, I'm lost

Only you can help yourself.

If you do not have the discipline to turn your entire life around, you will not make it.

My recommendation; read Story of a Soul. It's the autobiography of Therese of Liseaux, a young french nun who only lived till 24 but was declared one of the 33 doctors of the church for the unsurpassed love that she had for God. Whatever example, standard, or expectation you have of Christianity, if not judged against her standard, falls short of the truth. Her standard has inspired me, God willing, to travel halfway across the country to join a carmelite monastery in Wyoming when the time comes. God bless you.

>When is it too late to dedicate to god?

When you're dead. You can dedicate your life to God when you're 4 or when you're 40. But know this, your next breath is never guaranteed, so it's better to do it asap.

>How much of the Bible do you have to believe in?

As much as God tells you to. I recently converted, so I know it can feel weird believing in something you don't understand. But I found it brought a lot of peace to just accept that I don't know and let God reveal the answers on his time table. By all means, study your bible, learn about the traditions of the early church, and the different denoms to see whats right for your life. but don't let what you think God is saying distract from what God is actually saying, if that makes sense. Odds are, if something doesn't make sense to you, God has already thought of that and will do something in your life for you to get the message.

1.Watch ancient aliens till the point you are sure that at least 1 "god" exsists.

2. Read the Bible and understand that there is only one God and there are spiritual forces that can come in material form.

3. Take redpills and understand we are living the end times. Start working out

4. Keep coming to /christian/

You should be well.
