>Please for the love of God and your family do not tolerate those speaking and promoting atheism! It has taken my family from me! I have literally nobody!
You
have
Christ
So, cling to Him.
Do not doubt that He can save you from the devil that lurks in and around your family.
Do not believe the lie that the devil's trials can snap the faith that Christ has gifted you from you – Jesus says, "no one can take from my hand". Believe Him!
And if you DO doubt, pray daily for faith.
I KNOW your feels, OP. I lived them. Imagine, if you can, your own father, who'd been "converted" as a youth at a Billy Graham rally, tell you that "you'll understand one day" that I will drift away from faith, just as he did.
Thirty fuggin' years, Satan, but I have not failed yet. I will yet die with His name on my lips!
>And she told me that SHE was offended by MY FAITH IN GOD!
Yep, heard that one, too.
In my earliest days, I prayed this man's plea almost every day, stuck it to the back of my bedroom door:
<I do believe. Help me with my unbelief!!
… and clung to Christ's promise to never allow anyone the Father had given Him to fall from His hands.
Remember this about the path: God has prepared every step, every trial, every stumble, every persecution, and every tearful moment of frustration, pain or loss for His Glory's sake, that in them you may grow deeper in Him. But know that no trial, no temptation He has laid in your path is greater than you can endure. It will sometimes be beyond your strength, but rely on His Grace. Remember Paul's trial for which God's Grace was sufficient.
Develop now the habits that can define you for a life time! Search daily the scriptures; pray daily for his Glory's sake; trust in Him and never be lax in being faithful to him. You will not keep to this pledge every day, which is why it is so important that you forge a steel heart of self-discipline today and every day from now on, so that you can more easily return to your disciplined life after you fall. And you may never see what you have gained from trials and self-discipline for years or even decades, for it is only when we look back after much climbing that we can see just how high above the valley we really have climbed to. Believe me, brother, for where you are now, I was also, and I know your frustration and pain, and I know the agony of this trial. I can but offer one advice: use it to press deeper and deeper into Christ.
And welcome, newborn, into the life that is God's chosen life for you. God be praised for you will do "greater things than these". :)
