If you ask any question that goes against Catholicism (or even close to the church itself) you're labeled a protestant, even though baptist and orthos both disagree with Catholics. I think the denominational fights are brought on by trolls and anons of the offended denoms. But comparing the differences of denominations has always been there, there are painful differences there that others will simply ignore. I honestly think all the real prots left and only the ex-occultist Christians stayed, because i never see them, maybe they're not as vocal.

This board is much better for asking questions about Christianity and occasionally finding the christian perspective on certain popularized one sided truths like Horus and Jesus. I have actually learned a lot from this board, but i personally feel it's best for learning Catholicism, not because of the mods, but because that seems to be the majority.

There's a lot of vagrant-baiting, really, but everyone here posting in good faith really loves Christ. And we have a lot of people that post in good faith.

It just so happens that a lot of the intra-Christian discussion you get on a board like this happens to center on the small points where denominations differ. Everyone's Nicene and that's really what matters.

As unfortunate as it is to confirm this statement, it's true. We have too many threads about homosexuality/traps for sure.

There is denom in-fighting, because we all can't see each denom for their strengths rather than scrutinizing their downfalls. As one of the Ortho posters here, I'll admit that I'm impressed when Baptist/prot posters cite scripture so readily (despite varying degrees of success), and I'm equally impressed at the absolute kindness the Catholic posters show to newfriends and their knowledge of the ins & outs of their faith (even if said knowledge comes at a detriment when talking to prots). I wish we would recognize this and have more theologically focused threads rather than:

That's not to say there's good threads, because there's plenty of them! I just wish we'd attack each other less and learn to deal with our theological differences, because, unless you still aren't Christian and you're posting, I don't think we'll convert the other posters here. We may give them a fresh way of thinking of things, but it's not our job to convert prots to cathodox and vice versa.

tl;dr every post in this thread with more focus upon actual theological discussion and recognition of denominational differences/strengths rather than holding knives to each other's throats
