Western Europe/America will never embrace Islam. It’s too harsh and distinct to be embraced by western liberals. I honestly think the future religion of these countries is gonna be some form of universalism and syncretism. Probably not Baha’i in name, but something very similar. Luckily, all former communist countries are becoming Christian fast. Poland is already completely Christian, Russia is nearly there, and even China is growing fast. I really feel we’re living in a changing of the guard. Islam is gonna be fractured after the near destruction of the Middle East and Northern Africa, but it’s not going to go away. Conservative, Salafi, Wahabbi, etc. Islam will still be a huge force in MENA politics. We live in interesting times

I agree with this. Islam is way too brutal and alien for everyone to suddenly become muslim, it makes no sense. Liberals are just playing bleeding heart by letting muslims in and trying to be motherly to them. I also think some kind of Baha'ism is going to consume the West as well. Look at the show LOST. You had quite a few christians on there (Charlie, Eko, Hurley), one muslim (Sayed), and then a few ambigously spiritual people (Claire, Jack, John Locke).

So I think we need to worry less about Islam devouring the West, which will never at all happen with the attitudes of liberals, and instead focus on this universalist religion and this kind of ambiguous spirituality.

Those liberals will die and be replaced by liberals who will have to appease Islam more. So, after the baby boomers die, and then the millennials die, the population will be entrenched in Islam.

The numbers of white liberals in Europe are inflated by the baby boomers. Once they start dying and euthanising themselves, the picture will become clear. Low white birth rates and high numbers of abortions make for a reckoning.

Islam is cultural as well as religious. Muslims see European Christianity the same way. Muslims conflate the liberal behaviour of white people with their Christian cultural background. A Muslim thinks (wrongly) that when they follow liberalism, it is a form of white, watered down, Christian culture. Their own culture and religion is left untouched.

So that explains why ISIS jihad fighters can go from being party boys to devout Muslims. Being liberal had nothing to do with Islam. It was part of what they saw as white, Christian culture.

This. The influx of refugees isn't going to magically make Europe a caliphate. It'll create some clusters of Muslim neighborhoods desperately trying to remain Islamic, but for the most part, they'll all eventually get liberalized. Devout Muslims will become just as seldom proportionately as devout Christians in Western Europe. The rest will just become liberal Arabs.
