America stopped being a Christian centric nation since the late 19th to 20th century. So why are people surprised by this?

Pretty true, though. A handfull of the founding fathers were nominal christians or open diests. Bunch of em were freemasons.

> bunch of them were freemasons

< all of them were freemasons, idol worshippers and nominal Chrisitans

Also: persecution will weed out the weak in heart.

To be fair while Europe was having its secular revolutions and revolting against the monarchies and persecuting the faithful, Christians in America were spared all that. French Catholic monarchs ruled American territory until they were deposed in Europe & their kingdom sold. We still have states and cities named after them and monuments built to them. Revolting against the Anglo monarchy wasn't a bad thing imo either & gave Catholics more religious freedoms. America just suffered bad secular subversion.
