Christchan is back up after maintenance! The flood errors should now be resolved. Thank you to everyone who submitted a bug report!

Why do seculars have better lives than Christians? Every psychological studies and surveys get to the same correlations. Why is this /christian/?

>I’m les likely to get divorced

Less likely to get married

>less likely to be a criminal

More likely to be a mass murderer or serial killer

>less likely to have an abortion

Gonna just straight up call bs on this one

>less likely to have a pregnant teenager

Or pregnancy at any age

>less likely to beat my children

Less likely to have children

>more likely to be financially secure

Blessed are the poor

>more likely to be well educated

Universities and public schools don’t educate you

If you’re not an atheist, and you actually do wonder why atheists are more well-off, you’re confusing the independent and dependent variables. It doesn’t go

>become religious

>life magically gets worse

It goes more like this

>life gets worse

>become religious because religion inspires hope and you need hope

/thread. Also the same bs has been done in a fashion of asking poor religious people in rural area and asking people in downtown and compared them based on religion only without other factors. Some "scholars" are pretty clickbaity with their research to get funds/attention because most laymen would not dive into their "data" and scientific mumbo-jumbo and see it for what bs it is.

I notice that "atheist" and "none in particular" are put as different categories. It's a matter of self-labeling. The more educated and self-reflective nones call themselves atheists.

And about that religious knowledge survey, I'm pretty sure it has questions on Judaism and Mormonism and the like among it.

994d58 No.573560

Are there more than 1 example of religious places in which are better than secular ones though? Ireland is one but I don't think there are no more examples.

This, also

>Jews score second best

Shouldn't jews being second best count as a shoah? Also, they're second best, because they fucking control everything and they know it.

aa239c No.573565

Oh wow. Comfortable upper-middle class people who have never experienced any real hardship in their entire lives are more likely to be atheists. What a shock.

Tough question to answer as there are next to no religious countries left.

I'd be thrilled to live in Italy or Poland given the chance, though.

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1 John 2:15-17

18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

John 15:18-21

>tfw live in Sweden

>have some of the highest depression nd suicide numbers in the world

>highest divorce rate in world

And everyone i know seem to be so stressed and sad all the time. I know no christians. We are prolly th most atheist nation on earth

37ec34 No.573600

But do we really need to be the worst? We don't necessarily need to be rich, Christians need to set an example for others to follow. We demonize Mormons telling them they're not Christian and they're far better in their containment states than say, Mississippi.

I would like to see how the statistics compare when nominal Christians are removed.

ce21dc No.574124

US Christians are the vast majority of the population. Jews and atheists are on average high income earners (90% of top 1% are Jews). This is why their statistics look better.

I love statistics like these. Can I please have a source, anon, so I can do some further reading? Thanks in advance.

It's true, it's bs. Sorry for that.
