Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen

Anyone read that new Dicator pope book? Thinking about getting it.

3c98c7 No.570057

Yeah I thought it looks interesting. It's apparently so packed with information and citations that even respected catholics tend to agree with it and not think it's bs. It seems to fit in perfectly with the modernist takeover with Francis as the head

a7096b No.570064

>>570057

To be fair, the modernist takeover began with Benedict XV who stopped Pius Xs war on modernism as soon as he was elected. This is just the pinnacle. Now the question is are there enough orthodox cardinals left to mount a fight. I say publicly declare him a heretic instead of going into schism. But we aren't even true that his election was valid since lobbying is forbidden and the St. Gallen people obviously lobbyed for him.

>tfw you're dissapointed to find that your regular parish doesn't do Latin mass only to find that a smaller one just north of it only does Latin mass

ecstatic tbh

Canon 1373:

>A person who publicly incites among subjects animosities or hatred against the Apostolic See or an ordinary because of some act of power or ecclesiastical ministry or provokes subjects to disobey them is to be punished by an interdict or other just penalties.

Just remember, rash judgement is a sin.

3c98c7 No.570080

>>570064

Benedict allowed it to really finalize, he's no where near as traditional as people believe. He did a lot to bring the sspx closer to reconciliation. But he was a huge author and supporter of the Council. Pope pius X tried to warn us. I think with the explosion of the Latin mass and the traditionalism of this generation of priests will help counter it. Francis' approval of the Buenos ares bishops interpretation may lead to a reactionary revival

a7096b No.570086

>>570073

AL has been out for how long now? I don't think you can characterize anything in regard to it as rash. Plus, there's the dubia.

>“To know in what cases he (pope) is to be obeyed and in what not, it is said in the Acts of the Apostles: 'One ought to obey God rather than man'; therefore, were the Pope to command anything against Holy Scripture, or the articles of faith, or the truth of the Sacraments, or the commands of the natural or divine law, he ought not to be obeyed, but in such commands, to be passed over.”

cardinal De Torquemada, Defender of Faith

As far as I know, Christ explicitly forbade divorce and remarriage.

Catholics aren't Christian

ab35c4 No.571640

Because modernists are once again using 'pastoral care' to change doctrine. And trying to be more 'merciful' than Christ. If Christ didn't mention 'special circumstances', the Church has no business talking about it.

I'm interested in becoming Catholic but it seems like I'm showing up too late, the modernists are crumbling your foundations with incredible speed. Maybe Orthodoxy is the way to go.

I know, I know, you're the One True Church and all, but it's just a real bummer to show up right as the things that made it great are tossed into the garbage bin.

e115af No.572327

>>572321

Do you believe the gates of hell will not prevail? The only way to believe that and that the Church is crumbling is believing the apocalypse is coming in our lifetimes, but then being out of the Church won't help you one bit.

I'm telling you to begome gadlig.

Is it hypocrital to pray after you sin or is it a good thing because you recognize you don goofed and thus reccur to intensive praying?

it feels kinda weird to grab a rosary after I envy, lust or grow with ire,but maybe im making up for it?

I pray this

each prayer saves a soul

212a85 No.572414

>>572400

It is a good thing, just don't presume that saying a rosary will make up for the sin or make the sin go away, especially if it is mortal. Even if it's venial, which can be "worked off" by repentance and acts of penance, it's not like a metric where you can assume that a certain amount of prayer will suffice and then you can just go back about your business afterwards. You still have to confess it. Getting back into prayer after sinning is a good way of trying to be consistent in your inner life.

What always amazes me about mortal sin is how easily it throws my routine off track and I will just not feel bothered about prayer at all. But these are times when you absolutely must pray, because as St Ambrose says, forceful prayer has more of an effect. So yes, it's a good idea.

1a2771 No.572419

>>572414

ill confess as soon as I can.

desperation of salvation is also a sin tho.

212a85 No.572423

>>572419

Confessing ASAP isn't desperation. Desperation would be believing that your confession was not and never will be enough.

Confessing ASAP is a good practise to get into. Try to aim for once a week though as a regular thing, and set a day for it, like Saturday, so that you aren't tripping over yourself and becoming scrupulous (like I did for a bit). Treat it as spiritual hygeine.

c61385 No.572783

This. Exorcists say that demons absolutely hate Latin and that exorcisms are always done with Latin prayers.

>>572321

The thing is, we have so much tradition that you can actively ignore all these modern shenanigans. You aren't obliged to accept ecumenism or the new theology, just act it doesn't exist. The mass is the biggest problem, but you can always just ignore what the priest is saying and just pray through the entire mass, just stopping for the consecration, the Creed and Our Father.

1a2771 No.572795

how do I save my clergy from liberation theology?

praying the rosary ,which destroys heresy?

e1fbb9 No.572803

>>572795

Prayer never hurts. But men also have free will. Liberation theology has been a huge problem for a long time, even John Paul II's condemnation was not enough to extinguish it. I doubt the current pope will do anything about it.

Is it prideful of me to want to delay becoming confirmed, for fear of not knowing enough to properly evangelize or represent the faith, when people who know less than me are going through without issue?

Anyone know of any good apologist manuals for defense of supposed changes in Catholic doctrine? Points of contention I often have difficulty with are ursury, the galileo affair, marian dogmas, vatican II's freedom of religion, and of course, slavery. Some of these things have easier answers than others, but they're all rather difficult. The main point is, of course, what is capital D Doctrine? What things can we not change, and what is and is not covered by the authority to bind and loose?

On a similar note, I highly recommend Siencienski's Filioque. It's a very good treatment.

57ace9 No.573111

>>573110

Apologies, I meant to list apologist manuals for marian dogmas seperately. It's something I'm not well versed in at all to be honest.

e1fbb9 No.573173

>>573110

Read the documents where dogmas were proclaimed, popes explain why it was proclaimed pretty extensively, for example the immaculate conception:

http://www.papalencyclicals.net/pius09/p9ineff.htm

As for V2, religious freedom is not part of the teaching on faith and morals so it can be changed. Read any pre V2 encyclicals for great arguments against it, especially Leo XIII.

This is a good overview from pre V2 popes:

http://biblelight.net/freedom.htm

For example, Pius IX wrote

>From which totally false idea of social government they do not fear to foster that erroneous opinion, most fatal in its effects on the Catholic Church and the salvation of souls, called by Our Predecessor, Gregory XVI, an "insanity,"* [2] viz., that "liberty of conscience and worship is each man's personal right, which ought to be legally proclaimed and asserted in every rightly constituted society; and that a right resides in the citizens to an absolute liberty, which should be restrained by no authority whether ecclesiastical or civil, whereby they may be able openly and publicly to manifest and declare any of their ideas whatever, either by word of mouth, by the press, or in any other way.

V2 theologians actually said they knew they were going directly against the Church has taught on religious freedom for its entire existence.

Oh, ignore the protestant babbling on that website, just look at the actual quotes from the popes.

Yes, if you received the sacraments of confession and first communion.
