I would say that it doesn't mean anything other than that you haven't been paying attention to or following God as of late.

The disturbing dream was undoubtedly caused by a demon, but because you believed on the Lord and were saved, the only thing it could do to you was try to scare you.

If you are constantly walking with the Lord then you will not be bothered at all by demons, as God does not let any sort of such harm befall his flock.

Don't be a bitch, be a manly man man, dreams can't hurt you. Nightmares are particularly useful because once you unlock them you realize they're warnings.

What it means depends on what the things in it mean to you. Traveling might be some kind of journey you're on with your family. Possession could mean you're into something you can't control that could hurt your family. Maybe it's not your family at all and represents something. It depends and only you can unlock its meaning. Think of it as a parable.

It's a dream. It doesn't mean anything. Bad dreams aren't demons. This is not the dark ages. A solar eclipse is not a monster eating the sun, a storm is not God's wrath, Jesus is not appearing in toast, and your dream means nothing.

While I agree that the dream was almost certain not provoked by a demon, dreams don't mean nothing. They carry a very deep psychological undertones for the dreamer, that might help to discover what's really inside his mind.

Dreams mean nothing. They're just random images puked out by our brains while we sleep. Dreams are a byproduct of our brain just like every organ has its products. You're sitting there breathing right now, your lungs taking in oxygen and outputting carbon dioxide. Your kidneys right now are filtering liquids into your bladder. These are organs and their byproducts. It's just the natural way our bodies work. To assume a dream has some higher purpose or significance is no different than assuming demons are in every sneeze or that you're releasing demons when you piss.

Perhaps you didn't intend it, but comparing the products of our brain during sleep (which is dreams) and other organs of the body which are crucial for our survival and healthy function only validates the likelihood for dreams to have a higher purpose than you are currently ascribing to them.

Didn't said "higher purpose", most likely not. But meaning, for sure. Why his brain picked those images in particular and not others? there's a reason rooted in how the dreamer feels about something, there are somo common dreams that many people have, those exact dreams, like flying or having your teeth fall, that correspond with irresponsability and fear of growing old, this is fact.

And psychology is a valid field of human knowledge, not everything is subversive freudian/lacan shit.

It seems to my genuinely uninformed opion that dreams are just distorted versions of the thoughts you consistently have in your waking life mixed in with a large helping of nonsense and maybe a few recurring themes.

Have you been worried about demons or spiritual warfare a lot lately?

Either way, I would just ignore it. If it's a demon causing it, ignoring it is the best course of action. If it came from your own thoughts, ignoring it is still thr best course of action. You might even cause a similar dream by worrying about it too much.
