Nevertheless it was included in the Bible, indicating not that they thought it was scripture but that it was still worth reading. Certainly Luther believed that the Apocrypha could still be useful to read even if it wasn’t inspired.

I think the point he is trying to make is that if the book was written in Hebrew, and if it is God's word, then God would have preserved it in its original Hebrew, not in a translation.
