>Bible

I personally think that protestant Bibles are good enough. I wouldn't pay too much attention to it, just check if it has deuterocanon. You're not going to be using Bible alone anyway, so minor changes aren't going to be a problem.

>YouTubers

I'd recommend Sensus Fidelium if you're into traditional catholicism, Catholic answers on the other hand (both Youtube channel and website) is good for more basic stuff. You should also listen to Steve Ray, there are some videos with him on youtube. Here's a link to his conversion story: https://youtu.be/6dBkKoYC2-8

>How do I pray

Pretty much the same way like protestants do + you have written prayers to recite. When it comes to rosary, pic related.

Hope you'll stay with us!

KJV is really the best balance of accuracy and elegance.

Until we get a good Septuangint OT translation.

>youtubers i should watch

Father Spyridon

>, how do I pray and what with the praying beads and why do you pray to Mary

Best prayer is the canonical Lord's prayer, because it was given by Jesus himself : "Our Father who art in heaven"

Second best is the Jesus Prayer, research hesychasm.

Also you should memorize the Nicene Creed.

you don't "pray to Mary" you just call her blessed through a veneration "Hail Mary full of grace…" the prayer is really about Jesus, but starts off with Mary.

Feser (both the blog and the books), www.calledtocommunion.com, the Apostolic Fathers, "Catholic Encyclopedia", Carroll's "History of Christendom" books, the Catechism of St. Pius X, Callan's and McHugh's "Moral Theology".

There are many meme arguments against Catholicism floating around, the above should give you a solid understanding of why they are wrong.

>how do I pray

http://catholicexchange.com/recognize-power-prayer

Also, read about the theological virtue of hope.

>what with the praying beads

They are a handy tool.

>why do you pray to Mary

Since the very beginnings of Christianity it has always been universally and with certainty believed that those in Heaven can hear us when we ask them for prayer, and so can pray to God in our intention just like any other person could if you asked them.

Regarding .The Douay Rheims Version

"I must say that the Douay Rheims is not a version I have or probably ever will use a primary translation for personal study, however, I know many Orthodox who do. The text is certainly acceptable, and has the advantage of using traditional English, and having the Deuterocanonical books. It is at times awkward, and it uses terminology that is unfamiliar to most English speakers. It is a version worthy of consultation, when comparing various translations." http://www.saintjonah.org/articles/translations.htm

>What’s a Good starter pack to become catholic

It would be helpful to make pic related for all denoms

>like what bible version do I read,

KJV is GOAT When I was Catholic I read the RSVCE, and I'd still say it's a nice translation. The Douay-Rheims is pretty much a meme, it's not used by anyone and isn't available cheap just about anywhere

>Any YouTubers I should watch,

Sanderson1611 Everyone loves Robert Barron

>how do I pray

Stop using vain repetitions Get a little Catholic prayer book, that's what I used. The Catholic Book of Prayers: Popular Catholic Prayers Arranged for Everyday is nice

>and what with the praying beads

vain repetition It's like a form of meditation. You're supposed to reflect on stuff as you repeat the prayers

>and why do you pray to Mary

The evil spirit that afflicted the Israelites in Jeremiah has come back masquerading as the mother of our Lord Cause we want her to intercede for us and she's blessed among women

(USER WAS WARNED FOR BAN EVADING )

>The Douay-Rheims is pretty much a meme, it's not used by anyone

It's used by trads mostly.

>Everyone loves Robert Barron

Not really, some of the stuff he says is pretty heretical.

>The evil spirit that afflicted the Israelites in Jeremiah has come back masquerading as the mother of our Lord

<"don't you get it? The devil WANTS you to repent and stop sinning!"

There seems to be a few holes in your theory.

replace the bible with the cathecism

7b9754 No.556071

If you attend RCIA they would probably give you a bible from a reputable translation, they'll most likely even hand you a catechism if you just ask, whatever translation you get though I recommend a study version because the extra context helps a ton and you'll avoid tons of WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH X verse questions. Also any good study edition is going to address translation issues all the time so don't get hung up on that too hard, just avoid memes like The Message.
