I have been dating a non christian for more then two years. I'm a young guy and this is my first relationship. But she was mad when i told her my interpretation of who gets saved. How do i balance my faith and my love for her? How do i subtly get her to convert?

Learn a solid deal of natural theology.

Be an example of joy Christianity brings.

Subtly showing the aesthetic beauty of Catholicism will also probably be useful.

How can someone subtly believe on the Lord Jesus Christ?

This to be honest.

It's either in or out.

i meant more getting her to convert without forcing her. I want to genuinely believe not just do it for me.

5d8871 No.542849

>How do i subtly get her to convert?

that's not how it works

just let your actions and your examples speak for yourself, be coherent

however, good luck, you will need it…..

56114e No.542852

To be fair the Bible is OK with marrying non Christians. Hope you can convert her though. From my experience it won't be easy though. Some get mad just by you mentioning it like they are a demon or something.

541ee8 No.542855

Convert her. Talk with her about the Faith and answer any doubts she have. Also, study with her.

2c247f No.542856

> subtly get her to convert

“Hey gf, I’ve been reading this great book recently, I think you’d really enjoy it.” “Sure anon, what’s it called?” “The Bible.”

“Hey gf, I have this fantastic friend that I’d love for you to get to know.” “What’s his name?” “Jesus of Nazareth”

>>542855

>Also, study with her.

dunno about this. the bible is foolishness to nonbelievers

f92ccb No.542859

why would you ever date anyone?

5d8871 No.542862

before trying to convert her, convert yourself

are you in a state of grace? do you follow church's precepts?

if you are not within the Communion of Saints hardly you could save anyone

No it's not. See 2 Corinthians 6:14. It is only acceptable for a husband or wife to remain married to their unbelieving spouse if they became a believer after marriage. See 1 Corinthians 10-14.

>To be fair the Bible is OK with marrying non Christians.

You've got to be bloody kidding.

How about we start with Deut. 7:3–4, migrate along the lengths Abraham went to so as to get his son to marry a Godly woman, divert down the Israelite-kings-that-got-derailed-by-pagan-wives Lane, and finally end-up at 1Cor 7:39 and 2Cor 6:14 where "widows must marry Godly men" and "don't unequally yoked" are shoved in your face. And I haven't really even been trying. I'm sure I could come up with five times as many Biblical denouncements if I tried. The ONLY time it was deemed acceptable was when Israelites were taking captive women from other cultures as wives, but that was (a) when they had complete control over these women to de-paganise them, and NOT (b) in this day and age of "muh wymyns rights".

Seriously, you atheists know nothing. We're Christians, not Family International: we don't whore for conversions.

Have you fornicated with her? If she isn't Christian how would she abstain for so long? Remember to always tell the truth about the faith and no sugarcoating of who goes to hell.

What faith?

By claiming to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ while not actually believing. Catholics do it all the time.

1a6b3c No.552952

fuck outta here lukewarm. don’t half ass it bc “muh peepee feel good”. Hell is a long time

This and being a man who leads. Women are like big children. They have no agency and desire more than anything to be led. So lead.

Pray the rosary for her every day. Be prudent and humble, speak to her with temperance and patience. Be charitable and follow the will of Christ with sober obedience and joy. It will take great fortitude to do these things. If you have committed sexual immorality with her then go to confession (it is ridiculously easy to do, as even a passionate kiss that is for the purpose of carnal pleasure is a mortal sin) and allow the sanctifying grace of the Holy Spirit to work in you. You must be willing to sacrifice and suffer for the sake of her soul. Love her with perfect charity, and do not have any disordered desires of lust or any attachments to her; only be attached to God, meaning that you should love others for God's sake. That is my advice to you.

55444b No.552978

>>552976

And I mean go to confession and be truly penitent and sorrowful for your sins; if you are then God will visit you with suffering. Do penance and bear the cross Christ wishes you to bear for however long He wishes you to bear it in order to learn what He wishes you to learn: be humble, and be silent in your own mind and do not lean on your own understandings. Pray the act of contrition every night and pray the litany of humility every morning and pray the rosary every day; spend 15 minutes per day in prayerful meditation in the True Presence in the Tabernacle if you can. God bless brother. We must be extraordinary men of God in the times to come.

Deconstruct her world view philosophically and theologically until she either submits to Christ or admits a preference for being a thrall to satan. Should've been done by now 2 years in I would say.

A friend of mine who is Catholic is dating an atheist, she's slowly opening up to Christianity. He got her to go to church with him and participate with church duties.

Pretty disappointed with the lack of corrections being offered to women by the Church tbqhwyf. Men and women both have their issues and need to get called out on them, and women as a whole are in need of guidance.

When I met my girlfriend, she was interested in Christianity, but her mother was catholic and she was a recovering buddest.

So I took her to church, read the bible with her and prayed with her.

If they are staunchly against Christianity?

No.

If they are lukewarm about what they believe already?

Maybe.

If they are dabbling in it or are interested?

Yes.
