I was brought up as a Seventh Day Adventist, at some point while a teen I adopted several different faiths until eventually I became an atheist… following a long period of depression during which I began to think again about God and Christianity and came to the conclusion that the correct faith, and the only means of salvation, is through faith in God, and Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour, and that the correct church is the Catholic Church.

I do however lack knowledge on how to convert.

I would be very grateful if a friend would help me to start the process of joining the church.

>Go to nearby Church

>Sit in and listen to the homily and get a feel for the liturgy and discern if the priest is a modernist cuck or not

>If he is then go to another Church

>If there are no other nearby Churches then just approach the priest after mass and say you want to join the Church

>Priest then invites you to RCIA

This. Just ask after mass, they'll gladly help you. RCIA is a process that walks you through everything as a study session for adults.

It's encouraging to see people as strong in their convictions as I am and to consequently observe the ease by which they dismiss their perceived opposition implicitly.

c24b0f No.540043

as the other anons said, attend a couple of Masses and then contact the priest, even by mail if you are shy

meanwhile, pray and pray, the rosary, if you already know how to recite it (if not it could be a good chance to learn it) or just tell to God straight from your earth what you want to tell him, better if inside a church BONUS: during an Eucharistic adoration

is it really fine to just turn up for mass?

c24b0f No.540060

>>540056

yeah sure, just don't take communion

99% of times people won't even notice you (it depends by how big is the parish)

if you are unsure about how to behave during a Mass because you never attended one you may want to watch some videos on youtube but it's easy really

just do what other people do (apart from communion, when you see people leaving their seats and waling towards the altar just remain there, don't worry also other people will remain there)

Okay, thank you so much!

Yes,

some Mass's provide a little booklet/sheet on how the mass will process. Afterwards just ask Priest or a Sister

Peace be with you

is it still okay to attend Mass even if in the past I committed mortal sins?

Yes, you can. If you were a baptized Catholic, you wouldn't be able to consume the Host, but that's it.

98d4bd No.540181

>>540140

Of course you can, Jesus is there for you as well, any sin can be forgiven if there is a constrict heart.

But you cannot consume the Holy Host unless you repent and confess your sins.
