Mutilating yourself is always a sin, even if your intention is to guard yourself against other sins. I do think self-castration for the sake of chastity is probably a lesser sub-species of mutilation than pursuing gender-reassignment surgery because of the intention of the later tends towards vanity and pride.

I meant where is the logic in identifying him with trans, not where is the logic in him castrating himself. I mean I think most of us would agree that castrating yourself is not a good thing to do but his reason for doing it was the opposite of why trans people transition. Origen did it to flee from sexual sin, trans people do it to embrace and enable sexual sin. They are just grasping at straws for supposed Christian trans heroes.

I see what you mean. The gay mafia is always doing that. Last time it was a Roman emperor they insisted was a precursor to trans and what it turned out to be just some political slander they insisted was true because it suited their agenda.
