What you're trying to do is build a "CIDF", not a church. If you want to build a church, then make a website and preach the Word and attract congregants. Maybe you'll be blessed with someone who has server space to donate or someone who has web building experience; but to build it on a foundation of donations is antithesis to what Christ said.

For this topic, it would be of how to undermine anti-Christian pressure from groups like LGBT. Maybe see if there are Christian organizations movements there to give donation to or for the most lofty of us, discuss how to get into politics to be the change in the future wherever they live, or how to present topics like this and spread awareness in our own communities, etc. Other cases that may involve money might be for a Hurricane event where the discussion would be the best relief groups to donate to or with the networking group idea I mentioned earlier, maybe only among /Christian/ piers who've decided they want to work together in a team to on recording a hymns cover and they're helping each other out on buying sound programs to do it. The level of coordination from aforementioned team would be most plausible with a site with customizable accounts. The mindset and goal of the site will always be to breakdown the problem and start teams open for like-minded people who want to solve it.
What call of team members for a long term project or crowdfunding of any kind would be among the members (which their individuals would probably use external crowdfund sites to manage money anyways). The primary concern and purpose of the site would be to act as a complementary site to /Christian/ board for long term problem solving of certain discussions here or small group projects among piers that we could call our own.
There are several Christian forum sites out there, yet new sites are always being made and this would mostly exist out of necessity to represent /Christian/ board. In the end, this is just a concept that even if made, wouldn't be done by me as I'm not keen in site management and was something just thought up since some of the problems here seem they could use a bit more coordination to see long term real life results from us.
