>OT: God is always angry and does violent things without full explanations given, Jews are now chosen people, wars occur over futile things, all pharaohs are bad, Egypt is bad because reasons, x is son of y is son of z is son of a is son of b is son of… etc, incoherent descriptions of events leaving you clueless as to what just happened, tons of allegorical stories which are super wise but leave me frustrated for some reason
>Best characters: Adam, King Solomon, David ,Abram, Jonah, Ruth, Joseph & Saul
>NT: Jews are rude and use Romans to kill another Jew, God calms down and is actually really cool, Jesus is born, Romans are bad but can be good people, inspiring stories, virtues are a good thing to have, Gentiles get reckt, St. Paul being based, road trip with the disciples, St. Paul being based again by dropping diss poems to the Romans, BTFO evil people, love your enemy, love your neighbour, be as good of a person you can be, love your holy father, love others, pray and be faithful, be gentle and understanding, Jesus: "Don't worry guys, I'll be back brb."
>Best characters: John the Baptist, Jesus, all the disciples, The Lord our God, Barabas for interesting personality, St. Paul, Mary,
I obviously have much to learn, but it's so annoying and confusing knowing the vast difference between the OT and NT.
Just the fact that God seems to have a complete makeover in personality compared to Him in the NT is jarring. I have so many questions. I read for about 10 mins and rake up hundreds of questions I need to write down to ask a Priest.
