I support both my propositions but not the water reclaimation one cause the aquifier is refilling the oasis faster than we use the water as well as it having huge reserves of water. It would be foolish to waste our resources on it at this point.

Proposals: The water reclimation system is not currently needed and excavation would currently take part of the work force away from initial construction. I do, however, support the engineering of trees for this harsh environment as they could aid our growth in a few ways.

"In regards to the proposals put forth by the both Malus and Primus, the first two proposals are the most logical of the 3 put forth, but we should only devote our current resources to one project at a time, as if any incidents or unforeseen events could lead to a shortage of resources and many half-completed projects as opposed to one project we can accomplish faster and more efficiently if we put all our effort into it. Primus the water reclamation system is a necessity for growing our settlement, and we WILL grow given the female are already producing children. We will quickly outstrip the oasis's ability to supply us with water. While the construction nanaites are everyone's first choice we will need to keep our water cycle locked and the system is a necessity for that reason. Alpharius was simply trying to be efficient and come up with a way to let us use the run off from it constructively.

Epsilon:
1) Brother Epsilon votes to allow Tarkus to fill in in the event of a missing councilman, as we cannot have an even number of council members with so few of us available.
2/3) Voting in favor of the POPULACE completing a Excavator while the NANOBOTS complete an Energy Bank. Our two highest priorities at the moment should be establishing a storage system for our energy in case of an energy failure, which we would otherwise be totally unprepared for, and to start production of raw material for use once our construction material runs out. Insofar as the proposals go, I am voting no on the weighted council positions (Without a council leader, the position of 'ministers' is a clear and ridiculous attempt at a power grab, and it seems ridiculous you would expect this to be supported without even extending a majority of beneficial positions to other councilmen.)

I Malus, Agree with Epsilon on the proposals. We lack the means and the resources for an expedition to be fruitful. As for seats? Wholly unworkable and frankly a blatant power grab.
On the subject of Tarkus, as we do not have enough men for a full odd numbered council, I vote he fills in if one is absent. This way we can get a clear amount of votes and our brother's input can be used without unbalancing things.
The populace should build an energy bank, we need to be able to store excess power in case of an emergency.

While it is good to want to explore and understand the world, it would be pointless to do so while we have so many things that we can do here that will bring immediate benefit instead of wasting resources and manpower on an expedition which is unlikely to bring anything of greater value than what we are currently working on.
1. He can stand in for an absent member. Sadly I think 11 Councillors would be grossly inflated for the size of our settlement however.
2. We need to use our resources to get an excavator at all costs, otherwise we will be permanently stilted in terms of resources for our projects. it is wasteful to get an energy bank right now as well, as we cannot afford it and our solar panels will be straining with our growing industry making any power saving miniscule and unlikely to keep us afloat in any significant period of time.

I also see that everyone is quick for blood, I beg of you to stay your hand and grant this man mercy as well. While I am ashamed to admit it, I had also participated in this revelry and have gotten into fights with my brothers, everyone here had underestimated the passions involved and it is no wonder that some have lost control of themselves.
Proposal: As what must have been intended by the mother given the ratio between the two sexes at the start of our people. A man must be expected to have two female lovers dedicated to him. Therefore I propose the system of marriage which I had learned about from mother. Despite some variations, it would seem that all previous successful civilizations had implemented this system in some form and it would behoove us to do so as well, before any more crimes of passion happen again.

So before we actually use more water than it refills we should focus on getting our infrastructure and construction capabilities up and running so that we can later actually afford to do all these projects. Primus, using our extremely valuable and rare resources to save a single citizen when our colony does not even have enough food to sustain itself - something those same resources can fix - is nothing short of shortsighted idiocy.
