c17f93 No.18242 [View All]
The story in brief.
>A nuclear age world was catapulted through time and space
>It spent 33 septillion years time locked, various technical processes continuing infinitely and never running out of resources but also never finishing
>It returned to normal time
>All beings and all structures on it instantly experienced 33 septillion years of time, crumbling instantly into mineral dusts
>A paradox field kills organic life that tries to go to or from, but robotic and cybernetic life isn't affected by it that much
>The paradox field isn't permanent, but it is a guarantee of security from organic beings invading, so the great techno-powers of the universe struggle to claim this planet
>It is both in a strategic location and ripe with thousands of years of minerals, as well as rare elements normally only found in nuclear science processes
You, daring pioneers of feared and fierce technopowers, have been selected to conquer and claim it. All of it. However, you are different races and are not (at present) in any alliances with any other players..
See the pastebin for further rules and information, its set to expire in 1 month, so it can be updated and reposted at the end of each month if changes are made.

how did I go from 1 unit of germanium to 6 of 22? 1+2 doesn't equal 6 unless I'm missing somewhere or you mistook the tin to be germanium
I just want to make sure this is clarified before I post

You forgot your trip.
1: Mine finished, add "Mine facility" to Buildings.
2-3: Cloning facility finished.
You need a power plant before you can build more buildings.
>>21222
1-2: You need germanium, silicon, lutetium, or technitium, technitium is made from a particle accelerator, you won't find it by digging.
You did however find 2 units of germanium and 1 unit of Carbon diamond.
3: Coms-op computer's enclosure is built. Its now at 2/10.

1. Icaricium's half-life is way less than 1 turn, it's less than 1 hour, by the time you harvest it the icaricium has become Methane-58 and Silicon-66. Gain 4 units of methane-58 and 1 unit of silicon-66.
2. Finally, fissile materials. You locate a vein of iron-352, which is fissile. Gain 3 units of iron-352.
3. Lab 8/8 due to structural engineer and construction-worker.

Advantages: Family Tree - It is impossible, completely impossible, to sneak attack CIS forces. When they are produced, each CIS forces member is individually linked to another member. When any linked member dies or is removed from range, the CIS unit at the other end of the link simply “knows” immediately for no obvious reason. Due to this linking & the nature of their intelligence, while psy attacks have less chance of hitting them, they do more damage.
Disadvantages: Anti-virus - Clearing out the virus causes the CIS drones to self destruct, as they no longer function after that. As a result, a sufficiently strong hacking attempt might shut down large numbers of them suddenly if it rolls particularly well.

3. Fail. They didn't find any of these things, but they did find 3 units of copper.
>>21561
1. The only persons in your group really qualified to do this are the Flying disk ufo dalek and the chemical weapons dalek. It is determined that there are 2 main possible special weapon upgrades for the infantry; a gun that fires a cloud of radioactive gas, or, a system of propulsion units to make individual daleks fly without vehicles.
Both of these are at "idea" state only at present.
2. Gain 4 construction daleks.
3. Cloning lab operator experiences a deviant thought, meaning a "Fey mood" took him. He's working on making something called a "Brain warrior". They were used in the early days back when daleks were still having to fight other things on skaro, but were quietly abandoned. His work takes up most of the cloning lab resources and time, but will benefit you if you allow him to finish.
Due to cloning lab operators actions, your command decision number 3 isn't possible, so that roll was added to command decision 2 instead.
>>21586
1. Power plant at 3 of 7.
2-3: Gain 10 clones and 5 units of lead.
You need a chassis factory to finish the clones and need a power plant before you can do that, however, the clones are 'on ice' as it were, theres no chance of them dying before you're finished with these things.
>>21669
1-2: gain 3 units of germanium and 1 unit of zinc.
3. Blueprints "computer center" is a work of genius, it is more advanced than the homeworld's generic computer centers.
When it is finished and a building, all cylons will have on board wi-fi while they are in the home base area.
>>21702
1-2: In a moment of unintentional brilliance the nuclear materials handler tries some aristotilium as a test power-up for the reactor. The material collapses and dissipates, bonding to the steel piping to produce a small interior coating of Franconum, (less than 1 inch). This tiny amount of matter added to the interior of the pipes makes the nuclear reactor 37% more efficient, and makes it take 29% longer to overheat.
Technology discovered - Aristotilium Treatment: Nuclear reactor.
3. Geothermal plant now at 7/8.

2-3: no clones gained this round, but gain 2 tin units.
You slightly misunderstand I think, druza. The only part of the new meschiv the clone thing makes is the organic part, which is a brain and a few organs. You need to make the metal parts for the clones to be able to do anything.

1. Mobile extractor base at 3/12. You need to use up resources to make this, choose some metals to give the fabricator.
2. This is to large a project to get done in 1 turn. You have 3/15 on the remodel.
3. Geothermal plant complete. But the geothermal pipe dried up. So the plant now can't do anything unless you fix the pipe. It could just be clogged or something, you need to go down it and look.

Verifying that lowest-roll-result will be a +12.
Fiat: since 2 rolls tie for lowest result, both shall have the +12.
In future, if anon or anyone else gets accidentally skipped, they shall take an immediate turn and shall have a +12 on the lowest roll result, which is expected to seldom be a 2 or 3 way tie generally.

The particle index and the original rule-set are expected to be pastebinned and posted in this thread in long-life pastebins sometime tonight.
In the particle index you will see at times the phrase "no known uses". This simply means uses are present but unknown. In order to discover uses for some of the particles that are found in this pastebin, you need "particle scientist" or "particle scientist" and "particle lab operator" working together. All current player-races have both of these, and all current player races have long had particle accelerators and nuclear science of that type.

1. Your research comes down to 2 options. option 1: put big clunky dangerous fuel tanks on the daleks and use rockets. option 2: find Schopenhaurium and use the material's antigravity to fly.
Schopenhaurium can be found in the particle index. Based on xoxox's knowledge, it is a very rare element that would be easier to make in a lab than find by digging. Its rare enough that only 1 out of every 2300 planets even has any.
2. Dormitories build.
3. Fail. Clone lab operator is very close to finished with the brain warriors, and much to busy to do anything else. Clone lab operator tells you that the first brain warrior will be finished within "hours or days at most".

Responding to the free action.
The Cloning Lab operators gather in an open area to present the prototype brain warrior.
It is a brain in a case roughly the size of a human torso, with 2 double jointed legs which connect at the top, and a single medium sized gun, an electron rifle. Since the brain is riddled with wires and cables, it creates a feedback loop which slowly recharges the gun after each shot.
The Brain Warrior clank clank clanks when it moves, isolates 3 targets, shoots them with zaps of electricity, and then lowers the gun.
Brain warrior: "Hostiles Re-moved."
The brain warrior stands still, now in standby.
After careful analysis, the clone lab operators inform Xoxox that a science-purpose brain warrior could be made, but that it would be smart enough to possibly rebel.
