I just did the same thing, crashed out about half 8 while still in my clothes, woke up just now. My one task for today was to not fuck up my sleep pattern.

Have any of you lads read Epictetus' Discourses? I've had it lying around for a while and started getting into it last night. It seems like a good philosophy for navigating the world, especially modernity with all its hellishness.

YouTube embed. Click thumbnail to play. I saw a piece on the news about this video the other day at work. Despite the overwhelmingly negative public response, they've decided to double down on the propaganda and are now showing the video to schoolchildren. They showed the kids being asked what they thought about the video after having watched it in class and they responded with the kind of multicult platitudes you would expect of young minds constantly bombarded with liberal propaganda.
I personally am looking forward to the late stages of the Kali Yuga and the Age of Warlords which fast approaches.

Not for long, the honeymoon effect would quickly wear off due to desensitisation, and then you'd be back to feeling like you're missing something. Except this time you'd have to manage all the pros and cons of a relationship on top of your lack of fulfilment, and wouldn't be able to say "everything would be better if I had a girlfriend".

Everyone I know that actually got a girlfriend that wasn't essentially a blank slate on legs never left their honeymoon period. The sort of thing you described just sounds like a bad match of people.
The goal is to get a gf who is actually interesting but still qt. Someone who actually drives you to want to do stuff etc. The difference between my brother before/after his current gf is night and day. They've been together for 2 years now and are both still super happy, he acts like his life actually has meaning now.
>Tfw brother didn't meet this woman until he was 36.
I don't think I could handle living horribly alone for another 10 years.

Because literally everything in life works like that. Think back to any time you really really wanted something, and then you finally got your hands on it, had a brief moment of enjoyment or excitement, and then before you knew it you felt the same as you did before, and it's on to the next thing that will definitely (not) cure you of feeling like there's something missing in your life.
>>61323
That's literally the opposite of my experience talking with normies, the vast majority have said relationships are fairly mundane and overrated, and say the whole "other people can't fix you, you need to fix yourself first" thing, which I'm inclined to agree with.

Recognize your vices and abstain from or moderate them, and retrain the processes which govern your mind towards more productive pursuits. Think of it as the part of (You) that wants to improve vs a brain which has grown numb and lethargic due to years of under-use.

I'd like to add that I'm not saying that a good relationship/marriage/family isn't something worth striving for, it absolutely is, I'm saying that if you think simply having a girlfriend and a few cuddles is going to raise you up from "unfulfilled NEET" status for more than a brief period, you're a little deluded, and likely going to be sorely disappointed.

I guess the normies you've spoken to haven't found (((The One))).
But from what I've seen in other people, it's just that people get into relationships that are just shitty and not good for them. I'm not saying that getting a gf is a perfect solution, but getting a good gf is certainly something that can help you.

I agree, I just really don't think it will help the kind of person that thinks having a girlfriend is the answer to all their problems, in the same way that someone can happen across a large amount of wealth and any wife of your choice, and still be a lonely depressed fuck.

Do I have to have a first-hand experience with having a cute girl to cuddle in order to suggest that it would not in fact improve a NEET lad's life in any meaningful way? I don't think so. I've got a first-hand experience with being NEET, with being unfulfilled, with improving my situation from one dark place to a not-quite-as-dark place, and also with thinking that something will definitely improve my life, only to find out later that it made or would make little-to-no difference because my real problem was constantly desiring what I didn't have, which is a never-ending loop. I think that qualifies me enough to give my thoughts on the matter.
One of those problems was desperately wanting to have a girlfriend, and I sure as hell made sure everyone here know I wanted one, so that should come as no surprise, but the cause of the discontent wasn't the fact I didn't have a girlfriend. It was just discontent with my life and what I had in general, and no girlfriend would have been able to solve that, because the grass would always look greener on the other side no matter which side I was on. That's why you always see KHVs like myself saying "tfw no gf", and yet normies and Chads don't seem to give that much of a shit, going so far as to say relationships, sex, etc. are overrated.
So that's why I say: no, a girlfriend will not improve your life. You can improve your life and get a girlfriend, but a girlfriend alone cannot, and will not, improve you life if you're the type of person to think that all you need is X to make everything okay.

If you try to get in a relationship when you're not of sound mind, then the whole thing will fall apart anyway. You'll put too much pressure on it when you're still unhappy. You'll get angry at her for not being the miracle you were hoping for.
It's not a good way to live.
