It's a story of the lives of the characters. It's about God's will and synchronicity, with the Plane Scene being the one event that connects everything together. It's especially Wreckage Brother's death that is what sets the story in motion.

Just change the names to something close but non infringing, but keep a draft with the original names for posterity.

I actually do consider it a tribute, after all, the relationship between CIA (who's name just happens to be William Wilson) and Bane is strikingly similar to the relationship between William Wilson and the other William Wilson.

Though I'd call it Bill Wilson because I'd want it to be to William Wilson as Ulysses was to The Odyssey, a modernized take on an older story.
