And onboard the plane, he starts on his knees before dramatically standing up.
That's why Nolan named the movie "The Dark Knight Rises".

It could also be referring to CIA as a "dark knight" as the CIA acts as a militant serfdom to the United States (as a knight would serve the King and Kingdom) and are known to be quite shady and almost evil (dark) and his "rise" from the dark into the light.

It becomes obvious at the end of the movie, when Bane snatches doctor Pavel from the ZS-NVB to the Noshur-Vivers. I never saw another interpretation for the title, it's pretty straightforward.

Holy shit, you are right. Not only that, Bane announces to that guy in the bat suit that he was "…born in the darkness–molded by it." This is clear evidence to conclusively say that Nolan named the movie "The Dark Knight Rises"
