Are you in agreement that the film was "staggeringly beautiful"?

 No.35549

Had an interesting train trip home.

Train was late and the platform and eventual train ended up packed.

Anyway, ended up standing next to the daughter of an ex-boss and so-called friend of ~19 years.

Spent practically every Christmas night and one of the Easter days at their place for most of that time, as well as other random dinners and things.

Anyway, she looked at me and then pretended I was just a stranger. I caught the flicker of recognition, so she definitely realised it was me.

Caught her gawking after I got off and was walking down the platform.

She's second or third year uni now, so old enough to act like a sane adult I'd have thought.

This shouldn't bother me, but it has.

Their entire extended family know I'm shy and his (the ex-boss') "special needs" friend.

The whole thing is interesting.

They were both teachers (and he was also deputy head) at my old school.

That school is where I got my first job doing IT support.

They were both married to other people and had an affair.

I was one of the 'loyal' people who stuck by them after all of that blew up.

Fast forward 10 years and I lose my job at another company.

Immediately their contact with me reduces to Xmas/Easter/occasional random thing OR when they needed help with something IT or electricity related (he was into collecting stereos and shit and I'm somewhat adept at Australian-izing power supplies and cords etc).

Then about two and a half years ago, the wife becomes an Anglican deacon followed by priest. The contact reduces even further to just Xmas/Easter and the two ordination services.

I put the first reduction down to people shunning the unemployed.

The second further reduction, I think, is because they're pretty busy and also because they've always known my thoughts on race and the Anglican church in SA are a bunch of nigger lovers.

The third reason is they've probably financially recovered from their respective divorces, the kids from the respective marriages are more or less grown up, and they don't need the autistic racist fuck cramping their style anymore.

I knew people after high school, I tried to keep in contact but it's not really reciprocated at the moment. During last meeting it was talked about how they meet up and I wasn't invited, the memory that came up hurts. I did go down a different life style with uni but it does hurt a little still. I don't feel the need for relationships at the moment, I have no feeling for any connection and don't feel the need to open up.

>add mushrooms, mix and wait for them to let out the water and get a bit drenched

>add 2 teaspoons of dill and 1 teaspoon of ground paprika

>add broth (feel free to mix broth with water and half of a soup cube if you don't have enough)

>leave to lightly boil for 15 minutes

>mix 1 cup milk and 3 spoons flour into a paste (no lumps!)

>add milk-flour mixture to soup and lightly boil for another 15 minutes (keep mixing soup while you're pouring in the paste)

>in the end add 1 teaspoon of salt (taste first, if you added half a soup flavor cube, chances are it's already salty enough)

>pepper by taste

>2 teaspoons lemon juice

>parsley

>mix

>serve with sour cream

I think this is a two or four portion recipe. I never make this little but I don't know the amounts for bigger portions since I just wing it. If you add the ingredients little by little and taste often, you probably won't get it wrong. oh and as with most soups, you don't want it to boil too hard or it can start to lose flavor so keep it light.

Internet research revealed that the 17mm ratchet piece and the 17mm wrench should have been able to do the job so I went back out and found that they did fit and I had fucked up when I tried them earlier.

Unfortunately I had already had my shower by that stage so I only did a couple of nuts and will do the rest tomorrow. But I am feeling good now because I know what to do, how to do it, and it will be pretty easy I think. Tomorrow it will all get done.

It's not that simple.

I have a job, multiple fully paid off properties and a mortgage, I hardly ever work and every day sit around knowing im a useless piece of crap for squandering my youth and potential.

>get a degree

Yeah i'd rather not end up in more debt doing something il probably be sick of in a couple of years and the chances of actually being employed before some lgbtq or indian are pretty

damn slim.

I guess I could try get a partner but they'd probably just leave when they realise exaclt how much motivation i have.

I feel pretty similarly. The girl I enjoy talking to the most at this stage in my life is a regular at the swing dancing club who weighs about 100 kilos and I enjoy talking to her because she's seen some of the anime that I have and she might have good recommendations. Which is pretty decent honestly, but that represents the peak in terms of interesting conversations with women. >Do you think women have their own style of bantz that they pull out when guys aren't in earshot?

I'm not sure that you even have to be out of earshot to hear it. At uni I've been sitting there working quietly while a bunch of hens start going on about how some other girl is a bitch, or they're gossiping about their boyfriends, or they're plotting to fuck with some guy/girl by flirting with him/with the girl's boyfriend respectively. This conversational style is marked by a shift to a more conspiratorial tone of voice (think whispering and giggling). All you have to do to hear it is be a forgettable low status male and not say anything around them.

>I avoid anything that might naturally lead the conversation in a direction which I think might make her uncomfy

It's probably better to not avoid these things, you will be more polarising that way, so some girls will be uncomfy but others will remember you because it sticks in their minds and they might even think you're funny/cool. Less about the content of your speech and more about signalling that you have the confidence to go on even when girls are being bitches about bullshit. That said, I don't practise what I preach because of tfw anxious, trying to fix that so take it with a grain of salt.

>>35960

>I meant to ask you how swing dancing is going, that's a pretty brave activity to take up as a neet. How long have you been doing it, what does it actually involve, do you start sweating when you need to touch the women? Do you have to go up and request a dance?

I was pretty shit in the beginning, having jitters about even asking to partner up during the lesson where it's all regimented, and I was a really stiff dancer. I've been doing it for about a year and my skill/confidence got a lot better. Swing dancing involves taking a role as either a leader or a follower (i.e. boy or girl), and during the lesson all the leads practise the move (or parts of it) with all the followers, rotating partners every few minutes. After the lesson you may freely partner up and dance to the music, with songs being jazz numbers about 3-5 minutes long. Between songs, most people release their partner and the leads (i.e. the guys) look for another girl to dance with. It's like a game of musical chairs so sometimes a guy is left in the cold and that's generally when I sit out the song and grab a drink of water (You really work up a sweat doing this shit).

Typically, 50% to 75% of the people in the dancehall are actually dancing and the remainder are resting, and people dance for 1 to 3 songs before resting for the next song. Girls tend to cluster in small groups (all-girl or with 1 or 2 guys) so you have to go up to a girl and ask her to dance when the current song is about to end, or be really quick and dart onto the dance floor to ask a girl who had just finished dancing. In light of what's been said about girl conversations not being of consequence, you can actually just interrupt a girl in the middle of talking and ask her to dance.

Regarding the sweat, the girls' backs are about as sweaty as your hand is unless it's winter and she's only just arrived that night. If you're intending to try swing dancing, I say go for it and I hope you have fun. Wear a short-sleeved shirt because the skin-to-skin contact with a cute girl is nice. Balboa is another dance style with close contact and some swing venues teach it as well.

iktf, it is amazing just how invisible you are to women as an average guy dressed in plain clothes.

I speak to a few guys from r9k back in the day, plus I occasionally use steam to chat with an old coworker. I spend time with my younger brothers at least once a week but non-family contacts IRL are nil.

The girl who rejected me keeps inviting me to classes and to eat lunch together but it feels so cucked to tag along with her, we both know it's not just a new uni friendship and that I'm essentially orbiting at this point. I need to make friends at uni and that might happen with her help but at the same time it'll just pull me into orbit more strongly.

 No.35991

Have they said they hate you, or have they simply not engaged with you to your satisfaction?

 No.35992

>>35991

Well people on one board and steam group basically kept treating me like shit until I left. I asked a couple why they don't like me and it came down to me being a negative person. Bear in mind I was still dealing with my mothers death and found it hard to be positive with anything.

The other board and hipchat group had someone on it that I went out of my way to be nice to, that person kept treating me like shit so I retaliated. In turn everyone jumped on me for being an asshole to him.

It doesn't matter anymore, I realise I'm a sperg that's not meant to be around people.

news journalist found out that one of the biggest sites on tor was actually located in gps agency . He only published when a press release was distributed about closing the site down and the arrests of people. It was revealed in court cases in USA that foreign source of information helped in the arrest. Australia is only developed country where people are legally able to view child exploration material in approved law enforcement agencies. A lot of USA authorities couldn't do what qps did because they don't have the laws to do it.

You started off by being a cunt to a NEET and I am not going to let that slide. If you are going to continue this attitude you are not going to be welcome here.

I do not care if I do not have the authority. I am a lowly NEET and I accept this, but I am not ragging by telling people to just get over their problems. The advice you offer is more representative of someone who is on their high horse.

>don't go blaming me for being a cunt in return for your cuntishness.

I do not deny I am a cunt, I am. Until this post, you have failed to address why you were even offering advice to the NEET.

>You obviously aren't that fond of actually reading the posts you reply to either

Citation needed. What parts did I not address that required me to address them specifically?

>as I said, I'm in the same situation as the cunt i replied to

No, you didn't. Not until this post. You didn't state you attended university. Your original post could be the experience of someone attending or the advice of someone who has attended university. It is an unclear statement.

>but you just decided to jump down my throat

I have explained my actions in the post you are quoting. I do not see why you still feel that it is so unfounded?

>and project all of your insecurities onto me

Earlier this week I arranged to go out for drinks on Friday night (tonight) with a relative and now that 5PM Friday is approaching, I don't feel like going anymore. I'm not anxious or opposed to making an effort, I just don't have any enthusiasm.

I think the only way this could inspire enthusiasm is if there was a gf waiting for me tonight. I feel like most socializing wouldn't occur if people could have sex with whoever they wanted, whenever they wanted it. Even male group bonding seems like a mating ritual because females have no interest in a man who has no social standing among other men. I sometimes watch my brothers friends when they're drunkenly bantering and it seems such a stupid and empty way to live, then I remember the best times of my life were spent in their position when I was 18.

Other times I want to cry because there's such an enormous gulf between myself and the people around me. Once when I was 18, on one of those nights, I was sitting at an outdoor table on a large balcony full of people who accepted me, my cheeks were flushed from the drinks and I was smoking a cigarette, the combination made me feel completely content. One of my mate's friends asked me over to speak to her, away from the table, and I stood up to join her leaning against a wall near the doorway between the balcony and the upper level of the house. She'd pulled down the front of her dress a few inches and draped her outer layer over her shoulders, so I made sure to look her in the eyes as we spoke. I asked how she was doing and she asked me whether I'd like to feel her breasts. As I mentioned before I was feeling perfectly content and didn't particularly want to touch anyone's body, and I suspected that my friend had put her up to this, but that seemed like a hurtful thing to say and so I groped her for a few seconds. She asked whether I liked it and I told her I did. I think I said 'your body is amazing' and she said she'd have sex with me if she wasn't in a relationship. I didn't know what to say to this - was she wanting me to take initiative? Was she just giving me an empty compliment and pre-denying the possibility of acting on it? I started to say thanks but that seemed too non-reciprocating, so I switched to 'I'd like that too' but before I could get out a single word I realized that would come across as assuming sex was a possibility. Then I got the urge to tell her that I didn't want to have sex without a strong emotional bond and remembered only fifteen minutes before that someone else had told me this girl had been raped, so that could have been an unintentionally cruel comment. Instead of speaking I smiled at her, then the smoke from my cigarette hit my eye and after I'd rubbed it, the moment was over. I moved back to the table.

Do you cunts know what I'm talking about?
