ORIGINAL VIDEO CREATOR OF THE VIDEO SUBSCRIBED TO ME!
Hurricane Florence is right behind the corner for the states of NC, SC, VA, and MD. There can be only one experienced weatherman and father of four talented enough to cover the news – Frankie MacDonald. He is informative and to the point in delivering accurate information verified by real scientists from Trump University. Hurricane Florence is a Category 4 storm with winds up to 130 miles per hour. Wilmington is already under evacuation; Myrtle Beach will be stranded upon landfall.
Will the East Coast ever be the same after Florence? Only time will tell.

Since we're rehashing an argument that you never finished with me I figured we should just pick up where we left off a month ago. I sent this to you on the 8th last month.
>Yet they were still under constant threat of invasion.
Except they weren't. They were an active member of the league of nations after WW1 and willfully walked away from it after invading manchuria and turning away from their former allies. If they were under threat of invasion post-WW1 at all it was due to their own action and not due to America or Britain.
>Yeah, and I wouldn't call the US a completely industrialized nation by the 20th Century. Again, they didn't until into the 20th Century. His claim was that in the 47 years after Perry Japan was fully industrialized and up the European and American standards. They were not.
Seeing as basically every everyone disagrees with that, I don't know what to say to that. America and Japan were both considered decades into industrializing by the 1900's, and America even started it's famous Progressive Era directly due to the effects that industrializtion had on the country.
>That's what I was saying.
I forgot the question mark. It was supposed to be using your assertion of fear from the western powers - that were obviously war exhausted that they were begging for an end to all wars - that the Japanese were right in believe their only defense from invasion is by starting a massive war with all those their were afraid off.
>No, they couldn't trade with whomever they wanted. No European nation was trading with them. They had an alliance with the Nazi, but that didn't actually benefit them at all. Japan couldn't trade because American put an embargo on them. They would only life the embargo under terms deemed unfair to the Japanese.
They could trade with any nation that wasn't actively refusing them. That's how things work. In fact America was more than happy to continue trading with Japan until the left the League of Nations and started marching across the far east.

For meats, you've needed one here but produce and those types of premade sauces/snacking/canned shit usually let you sell in the "free space" or whatever the revolving door of terms they used to avoid ever falling under food safety laws due to private sales or quantity. >Except that first of all, no they don't. And second of all, general agreement does not equate to correctness.
So your only argument is that historians and general consensus is wrong on historical industrialization of Japan and America leading into World War 2?
>You mean with other Asian nations? And yes, they were still under constant threat of invasion due to the close proximity to the USSR.
The USSR that was in a nonaggression pact with Germany and her Allies until Hitler started his invasion of the USSR?
Japan was worried about American and British forces stopping their conquest, and that's why we saw them attacking our forces primarily when they did go on the offensive.
>But every nation except a few were refusing them. That's why they invaded Manchuria, which kicked off everything else.
Japan invaded Manchuria long before the embargo was placed on them. The Oil and Gas embargo was hardly in place for a year before Japan committed to Pearl Harbor.

Texas allows city ordinance to mostly govern it, i.e. so rural towns wouldn't give two shits and major cities could have food supply guarantees.
But mostly they allow small volume sells unless something negligent happens and they bar you at the state level, if memory serves, or just basically let you be sued into oblivion.
Texas also doesn't collect any sales tax on those types of food items and has no income tax so they really don't give two shits as long as it's not a public safety issue.

So what you're saying is that Japan was being protected from invasion by a body that had no power to stop an invasion at all? Right. Okay. In other words Japan was under threat of invasion.
>leading into WWII
I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that the years PRIOR TO the 20th century is considered the lead up to WWII.
Let's look at some dates real quick.
Japanese invasion of Manchuria:1931
Hitler-Stalin pact:1939
Japan-Germany alliance and the formation of the Axis:1941
So Japan was being covered from invasion the entire time post WWI by an alliance that wasn't created until 1939 and that didn't apply to them until 1940? Makes perfect sense to me!
No Japan wasn't worried about their conquest being stopped, they were worried about falling victim to nations that liked to establish Empires and had already done so in Asia.
But no, they weren't being given free trade. They were seen as dirty fucking non whites by racist imperialists.

Under invasion by who. All the world powers were present in the league and all of the ones that directly could even effect Japan was pleading for peace due to WW1.
If they were under such huge threat please tell me by who because the Orient was ravaged by a hungry Japan.
>I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that the years PRIOR TO the 20th century is considered the lead up to WWII.
I was referring to how Japan was considered largely industrialized leading into WW2. I thought I made that point clear when I said "historical industrialization" in the same sentence.
Realistically though, Japan has been considered industrialized decades prior to their Attacks on America, and I don't see your points against that other can just calling everyone else wrong.
>So Japan was being covered from invasion the entire time post WWI by an alliance that wasn't created until 1939 and that didn't apply to them until 1940? Makes perfect sense to me!
Yeah I got that stuff wrong, sorry that I'm not googling this on the fly.
See above though. Japan themselves didn't even think they were under risk of being invaded in the 30's. They were just upset that the Western Powers no longer supported imperialism, and the Japaneses claimed it was unfair that the Western Powers are saying that imperialism is no longer cool just when the Japanese were getting good at it.

And I was referring to Japan NOT being fully industrialized to Western standards by the start of the 20th century. It wasn't until at least a couple decades into the 20th century that Japan reached a level where they could compete with Western Europe, and they did so by land grabbing during WWI.
Yes they did. They were under constant fear of invasion. And being treated like shitty nonhumans by white imperialists and looking at the rest of South East Asia and India didn't make it any easier.

That's why they beat Russia in the Jap-Ruso War that was near the start of the 20th Century. It was a shockwave and told the European Powers that Japan was an actual Military Force.
Stalin didn't want war seeing as he was still in the process of rebuilding his new nation after the creation of a new government. This is why Japan was able to take Chinese Territories very close to Russian borders with basically no serious backlash from the USSR. This is why Japan was more concerned with Attacks from the Sea by America and Britain than they were from Russia.
>treated like shitty nonhumans by white

Sure, but part of that defeat came from Russia being under the rule of the Czar, who totally fucked their military. They were eating each other during WWI in the Russian trenches. Stalin wanted war, he was always interested in world domination.

I know fuckall about this conversation but a huge part of that was just the russian navy being laughably incompetent at the time and nearly falling apart just getting there. And without a naval force there russian had no way to really fight in that theatre. Moreso than the nips being powerfal, in particular

Stalin never had any intentions of moving against the nips and he was much more focused on solidifying control and exerting his influence in Europe.

Japan has a considerably powerful Navel Force by most nation's standards at the time, and the fact that they were an island nation forced anyone to engage them on that font.
You're right about Russia having a laughable navy, but Japan could've competed with France or Germany comfortably. America could just outproduced them and we got lucky once or twice and that was the biggest issue for Japan.

Possibly, but germany didn't exactly have a large fleet with a lot of colonial assets.
>France
Not even close. France was easily the second largest navy in the world at the time, iirc. It's hard to find much about their status at the russian-japanese war period specifically (in english with a quick google, I'm sure it's out there somewhere) but by they had dozens of battleships at their disposal at the least by the outset of ww1. Japan on the other hand only had 5 to deploy at tsushime, which was their entire fleet.
>ww2
A LOT changed between 1904 and 1944. There were a lot of factors to US victory. Including general overextension by the japanese, and America building into the aircraft carrier meme a lot harder, which turned out to be for the best.

Yes, by the time Germany and Russia went to war Russia wanted to invade Japan and Japanese territory, but couldn't do so because he literally couldn't afford the man power. Also even the American one wasn't that big militarily at that point, iirc. Most of its strength that let it win in the pacific during ww2 was straight up built during ww2, even discounting the nips pearl harbour'ing most of the US pacific fleet at pearl harbour. It was large, but the step between it and the royal navy was still massive.

No one is arguing that the Royal Navy wasn't bigger, but there are certain things to take into account when looking at that.
Japan had 10 Aircraft Carriers at the start of WW2
The United Kingdoms had 7 at the start.
Japan wasn't a push over, and production and resupply was such a huge factor to them losing that it really can't be understated. They were a military power that deserved respect, and when considering their navy they were military "goals" to a degree.

No, he dedicated his entire force to fighting Germany. The Nazis pushed clear across Russia to Moscow and Stalingrad and captured/killed troops by the hundreds of thousands. There was nobody left to invade Japan or Japanese territory by the end of the war in Europe and logistically it would have taken months for Stalin to move his entire army back across to the East, which it did, which is why he didn't declare war and invade until his military was safely back in Russia.

To be fair, most navies undervalued aircraft carriers prior to ww1. Additionally, the UK needed less on account of being close enough to just fly to most possible conflict zones without ones.
Definitely not a pushover by ww2. I originally was just saying that's not got TOO much to do with them beating the russians, and their naval strength massively increased during that 40 year gap between that war and ww2.

He didn't want to, but he was forced to prepare. He was preparing for years.
None of this takes away the fact that Stalin didn't want a war with Japan, and Japan was under no real threat from Stalin prior to 1945.
WW2 was not a defensive war for Japan.
>>2235647
They were also huge in battleship strength which was something that everyone built into.
