It's not that it's popular and time to shit on it, I think the quality has pretty clearly taken a dip from a writing perspective. Plot armor and a clear distinction between good and bad is becoming a pretty big thing, which is a far cry from what the show was previously. Any dramatic change is gonna cause a loss of some fans. It has a really good atmosphere and aesthetic as a walking sim/horror house but there is legitimately a scene that ruins the entire game lol.
