It started good-bad. Then it was just bad, and I wanted to drop it. But every week I watched each new episode thinking "maybe this time they will do something stupid but entertaining" but instead it keps taking itself seriously, like you're supposed to be invested in the story. It was bad. Let's hope mahou shoujo seal 6 doesn't try too hard like Release the Spice is doing (that's another good-bad show)

Kind of worried since Amazon apparently has involvement, though whether it's simply going to be kept to streaming exclusivity (not that that's apt to prevent unofficial rips spreading), or if they've actually got some deeper say in shit as part of an agreement, I'm not real sure.

I'm just going off what (((wikipedia))) has said, and they've reported Amazon as licensing for a while now (which makes me wonder how far back they picked it up; it was back before it even had an airing term set). Personally, I'm hoping Tezuka Productions holds too much sway over their properties and how they want them to be adapted like this, but who knows. Also kind of wonder if Samura is going to be involved; Tezuka being dead over a decade by that point, Samura's art for the PS2 game was pretty good, though I guess conceptual stills aren't the same as game modelling, or animation.

Check the threads for some recs. There's a seasonal thread too, but since it's relinquished to less popular shows, it's a bit slow.
My personal recomendations are Gridaman for dumb action (good action, though) of the season, Bunnygirl for supernatural drama with best MC of the season, and Zombieland for Idoru comedy. There's more I would recomend, but those are at the top of my list for now.

Well, I usually go through the lists pre-season and, tbh I don't watch a ton of seasonal anime, I mostly read manga, and I rarely watch their adaptations unless I want to check it out in the beginning, or see a few select scenes.

In Kaguya's case though, there are many things I hated. Starting from the retarded premise "in love, there's a loser and a winner in a relationship", like seriously, how much of a fucking cuck, or broken psychopath do you need to be to think like that?
Second, we are told how much of a genius the main characters are, and yet they are more retarded than a pair of socks. Teenage-tier writing confirmed. To ruin things even further, we have a narrator that does basically what it is to explain a joke before reaching its punchline.
But everything is dwarfed by a girl that we are supposed to like, but is the worst, spineless cock lusting piece of murderous bitch, and that voice acting with the deep-ass MILF fag bait voice, jesus fuck.

I think you are massively missing the biggest point in that it is a referential parody anime. The schtick seems to be that each week the girls go into a different popular anime and have to save it from the 'virus' which is distorting the world of that anime in some way. The Usagi (rabbit) cafe becomes to the Unagi (eel) cafe, the dolls of Rozen Maiden become slavs instead of wearing cute clothes. If lighthearted parody of popular anime series doesn't appeal to you then don't bother. Biggest draw for me is seeing which show they are exploring each week. First episode is a total write off since they don't go to any anime world and just introduce the 'characters'.

One thing that made it completely unenjoyable (well, besides that literally only one girl is tolerable, unless you're into super mature type, and that's the MC, not the worst girl loli) is that whenever it's not fights, they are ALWAYS talking. And I don't mean like "there are a lot of conversations", but literally without ever taking a break, it's just talk, talk, talk, sometimes quite complicated, they never stop to look at the other party's reaction, and likewise, the other person never needs any time to think how to reply, they immediately start their own line without as much as half a second pause in-between.
That is just absurd, and makes the pacing look fucking rushed, while you don't have time to enjoy anything else about the show. This is the opposite of GuP, and not because it's about aircrafts.

I only skimmed through some later chapters of the manga, and I don't like that they are taking focus away from Saitama in favor of other heroes. The whole point of OPM is to be a satire of power level shounen manga/anime, and it did it pretty well on S1. >She says, as she runs to the bathroom. As she does, her friend notices a strange bulge poking out from the back of her skirt.
The girl enters the stall and fumbles to undress. "How did my tail grow so much, in such little time?" she murmurs. It used to be just a little tip a few days before, but now she could barely wrap her hands around its warm and soft circumference.
Still suffering from that weird nausea, the girl gasps for a moment and inadvertently pulls on her short tail. With a firm shock, the tail extends further from her body, breaking through the girl skin whose mind goes blank from the mix of pain and pleasure that are literally splitting her body.
"Is this… is this me?" she asks in a soft voice, her hands dripping with juice, feeling her meaty and slippery stub of a tail. The vertigo she felt in her stomach has diminished, but not entirely subdued: now she understands that the weird feeling was just her body's way of saying it was about to change. Impatient, the girl pulls again.
But the last inch won't come out: she strokes and pulls the slipper surface, but her grip is weak and the scales start feeling hot from the insistent attrition. As the sensation of heat extends from the tip to the bulk of the tail, then her midriff and the entire lower body, the girl is no longer aware of the changes happening to herself. New, sparkly fiery scales emerge from her lower back, as two, six, ten inches of fat long tail emerge and extend newborn.
In a violent ecstacy, the girl holds on her longer, mature tail which now circles down from between her tighs to her navel and pointing at her. Flustered, she starts to realize how much of a mess she just got into. Quickly, she rummages through her totes bag and takes out the jeans longskirt she usually switched to indoors. The larger, comfy size wraps around the bulging softness and hides it.
"Onee-sama, are you ok in there?" asks her friend, right outside the bathroom stall. Armed with new confidence, the girl wraps the still throbbing, newly emerged tail around her inner thigh and leaves.

Supposedly the new arc(s) focus less on Saitama and more on the other heroes.
Which denies the serie's entire purpose. It was supposed to be a satire of shounen battle anime, then it just became one.

Yeah that's a good criticism. It sort of meandered without a whole lot to link the arcs together.

(Regular) Toji has been on my backlog. Does mini toji give away anything important? I might watch it to get in the mood if it's just 10 ep short.
No.93768
>>93749
I would say it gives away a fair bit. But more than that I don't think there would be much appeal if you don't know the characters from the regular Toji. It mostly just kind of plays on some of the cuter moments from the original.
No.93769

Also the episodes are like under 4 minutes each, so there's not much time for elaborate jokes or character building, it's really just memes based on the original.

It's more prevalent in gookland, but all it takes is one look at a school photo where makeup isn't allowed to see that the average nip looks nothing like the carefully crafted models and cosplayers people like to post everywhere, many of which are further touched up with filters and digital brushes. They're also still 3D.

3/4 are still alright, even without makeup. And the 4th even a whole bucket of makeup wouldn't fix, and she'd probably mistake it for her trough anyway.
2d > 3d because of personality, not (just) looks. Plus it doesn't age.

My dear anon. The point wasn't/isn't that you think monkeys look okay as long as they're not fat. You can have your strange tastes with no ill will from me, just a lot of confusion.
The point is that they look nothing like the pics of Asian 3D that people like to pass around, and truthfully they're the same as anywhere else under all the touch-ups and cosmetics. Off-The-Boat Syndrome doesn't help. The point was that beautiful 3D is usually a lie, and so posting things like >>94085 is a strange thing to do.

I unironically think Kaguiya has a good portrayal of how people in a relationship think. It's not deep in a "mysterious" sense, but it nails down the psychological aspect of people scheming, trying to figure out what others are thinking and how to manipulate seduce them.

This. I liked the third season more than first and second ones. Witch was cute, and her story was interesting. Clock was great. I honestly didn't have any issue with the art. It was nice to see Origami get some resolution to her story. Her part was clearly planned out from the beginning, which is impressive. When they first meet, way back in the first season, she asks Shido if he remembers, but doesn't specify what. She's also has a curious yandere affection, despite Shido not recognizing her. All explained.
