Not very high nowadays, in my thirties.

After spending almost two decades on anime even shit like Heino tickles my brain so much more if he sings some folk songs.

I have no more interest in learning Japanese, either.

Still have somewhat of a fondness for anime, though, but I certainly do not want to be japanese or live in Japan anymore.

I cannot recount the number of shows I have watched, it was a lot.

I'm 34 and I've only gotten more interested in manga and anime. There's no way of gauging how many shows I've watched or manga I've read either. It's definitely over 500 and maybe less than 1000. When I was a kid they were just cartoons so I watched them being raised by my television. In high school I realized these cartoons that were from Japan were pretty cool. Trigun was a big influence. Fell off from there til about 25. Friends start getting me into anime as I liked cartoons and I've been reading webcomics so manga was a natural step. I really got into manga. Ended up reading Pluto in one day on OneManga back when internet was slower and you had to click every image to go to the next page. Past couple of years I started learning Japanese. I don't want to live in Japan but I do want to visit to practice my Japanese as a test. Mainly the goal is to translate manga. So I'm not to the level where I think my mom had an affair with a Japanese man and that gives me a birthright to be a Japanese citizen or some stupid PixiTeri bullshit but I do really enjoy anime and manga as my main hobby and that has grown more intense my whole life.

Dunno how much I've watched. Somewhere between 400 and 1000 manga, a couple of dozen complete LN series, a few hundred anime.

I'm currently surrounded by figurines and wallscrolls, along with a couple more traditional things like tea ceremony equipment and Ukiyo-e prints.

My Japanese is getting better by the day and tomorrow I'll dig into my first nip LN. Plan to live there eventually, but not because I want to be 日本人, but because my continent is going to go to shit and I don't plan to sit still and take it.
