Dubs sucks because many people within companies that make dubs for anime have political agendas, namely inserting lines supporting a certain worldview, despite the fact that such lines don't even appear in the original script. Pic related: they don't even bother with faithfulness to the original product. That's a grave sin in translation industry.
Subs can have the same problem too, but you can have many alternative subs from many other fansubbing groups for free.
As for aesthetic reasons, generally English dubs sounds weird since women in the western world, including voice actors grow up believing that cuteness is childish, and one has to stop acting cute in order to become mature. This leads to western voice actors sounding more mature and failing to sound as cute as its Japanese counterpart.

That's not a convincing argument, do more research before making big claims. With that kind of reasoning you can even argue that a FoTM SoL anime is popular internationally because a hundred of Spanish speaker watched it on Youtube.
