For our first stream, I'll be airing Ichigo Mashimaro! A nice classic is good to start with, don't you think? There will be 12 episodes, 3 OVAs, and the 2 Encore OVAs (plus a four-minute short). 17 episodes in a row is quite the marathon, so I'll include a short break after episodes 6 and 12.
It'll be my first time running a stream, so I'm sure there may be some issues. Sorry in advance! I'll do my best to address them.
If it goes well, we can start doing these regularly. I'll accept any suggestions on what you'll like to see in the future. So let's kick back and enjoy some comfy anime!

Have you found a decent solution for hosting videos for a stream that isn't Google drive? Daily motion seemed the only option but it has content scanning just like youtube does.
I don't want to stream it directly, I would rather just upload videos and link them to cytube so I can use my PC while the streams happening and not fuck up the audio for everyone.

24 minute episode of anime at 720p is roughly 300 MB = 208 kB/s per client
therefore, 100mbit host is fine (100 mbit = 12 MB/s = 60ish clients)
in terms of space you'd need 5GB minimum but probably around 15 if you ever decided to watch a movie or if there's something you can only find in 1080 and don't want to re-encode. other than that the only thing you need to worry about is muh DMCA and FBI / retards being assigned your same server who crash it every 30 minutes and use all the bandwidth/cpu/memory.
if you have good internet at home you could also just host it yourself but that comes with its own problems like intermittent packet loss, ISP being incompetent, power/service outages, ip address changing and not having dns propagate, other people (neighbors even) strangling your connection, not being able to use your own connection while stream is running, having to worry about too many clients, etc. using the same calculations above, 208 kB/s per client * 10 clients is only 2MB/s (16 mbit) upload which isn't that uncommon for households. I'd be interested in seeing whether such a stream would work.
